Guest reviews for Chato Hostel
"The room was pretty big, which was a nice plus. Very clean and comfortable. Location was also good, walking distance from the main street."
"Staff didn't speak much english, but did their best to fulfill our requests."
"Beds were comfortable and staff was nice. Bathroom was quite big compared to other accommodations in SEA."
"Would be nice to have a fridge in the private rooms but seeing as there’s no outside food or drinks allowed it makes sense. We just like cold water"
"Chato is by far a more relaxed place. Quiet but in the middle of restaurants and cafes. Situated in front of the night market, ATMs , Korean food, even a Thai coffee shop . Chato is your best option . Skip the trendy , pricy places, as they are not always the best. Sleep well at Chato ."

"Very clean, good location, and very friendly staff"

"Great location in Pakse, the rooms were clean and modern! Staff were very helpful, letting us check in early and booked both the Plateau tour and onward travel!"
"Wi-Fi was not the best and staff were sometimes not the most friendly."
"a good location, clean, i had a romm with own bathroom wich had everything you need for a short stay, i liked the furnishing, frendly staff, i had AC and Fan"
"When i closed the door there was still light comming in from outside (this easily cold be fixed), you hear very moch from outside (but this is not differend in other hotels in this price category) - because the room didn't had a window (whis is quite commun in asia), it got quite warm at night - there would be an easy solution if people would be allowed to lower the AC a bit more than 25 Celcius (its fixed there). And it would probabely prevent people using both: AC and Fan"
"Helpful staff (though not all good with English) - let me use their phone to call our next hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, albeit with no window."
"Shame they don’t offer free drinking water refills like many places. Not much nearby in terms of eating options."
"Clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff are lovely. Can book onward buses through them for good price."
"No window in private room but it’s ok for one or two nights"
"Location was great, very clean private room with an ensuite shower which had good pressure and hot water. Room was very quiet too."

"Note: This is my second (glowing) review for Mabuhay Guest House. As I was waiting for my visa process to complete at the nearby embassy, I kept extending my stay with Ms. Sara. The price, location, and overall value are what initially caught my attention. But what makes staying at Mabuhay really great is the host! Ms. Sara is one of the nicest/most genuine people I've ever met. During my stay, she was able to help me solve numerous travel-related issues. She definitely didn't need to help me, but that's just the type of person she is... And while I'm not particularly social when I travel, it wasn't long before I was hanging out downstairs with Ms Sara and the other guests, with a cold beverage, talking about a wide range of topics. I really hope the best for Ms Sara's business and family. And I genuinely appreciate the hospitality."
"This was an interesting hostel to stay at in a private room that was quiet (thanks to some soundproofing), and my room was cool with a loft bed over an area with a nice desk (I work remotely) and ample closet space. Great location just minutes from the night market and other sights. I spent most of my time here just walking around and exploring the city. Nice breakfast!"
