"Great place and amazing location! Great prices and service."

"Good staff...close to places to eat, bank, shop, markets."

"Fantastic location, cozy rooms, fan provided, decent bathrooms"
"The place is basically a dorm with rooms separated by walls whose insulation resembles that of paper - you can hear everything anyone does in the rooms next to you. I'm not into sharing bathrooms in general and this is one of the reasons why - I get up to pee around 6:30am, knock to make sure no one's in, no response, so I nudge the door open and lo and behold, a 40ish year old man is taking a poop 😅 the upstairs bathroom door doesn't lock at all. At this price point, shared bathrooms are not ok in my perspective"
"Clean, comfy, great location by the river and an easy short walk into the main town. Nice little orange juice stall just outside as well. Staff were helpful and super quiet and peaceful area"

"Everything was fine. The shared bathroom was clean, the private room was small and very basic, but for one night it was a perfect choice :)"

"The location was perfect-right across from the river and just a short walk to the night market. Tucked away on a side street. The rooms were very comfortable."

"Such a lovely guesthouse. I was in the single room - yes, it was very simple, let’s say “frugal”, but still I really loved it (I booked it twice, I came back after a weekend in Nong Khiaw). The owner was so nice, always saying hello and just welcoming and lovely like many Lao people. The bathroom was shared and it was basic but functional. They cleaned everyday in the morning! There are some common spaces outside, with a table and chairs - I also worked from there, the WiFi was very good! Location is great, just a 5-min walk from the beginning of the night market, 10/15 minutes if you want to go deeper into the Old Quarter. I just loved it!"
"Nothing, everything was super nice!"
"Very clean, new, great facilities. Large room, outdoor seating, great location"

"Great location, super helpful and nice owner who also rents out motorbikes, does the laundry and calls your cab to the airport. The facilities got everything you need for a short stay and there’s a small little bakery half way up the street on the same side. Recommended!"

"Note: This is my second (glowing) review for Mabuhay Guest House. As I was waiting for my visa process to complete at the nearby embassy, I kept extending my stay with Ms. Sara. The price, location, and overall value are what initially caught my attention. But what makes staying at Mabuhay really great is the host! Ms. Sara is one of the nicest/most genuine people I've ever met. During my stay, she was able to help me solve numerous travel-related issues. She definitely didn't need to help me, but that's just the type of person she is... And while I'm not particularly social when I travel, it wasn't long before I was hanging out downstairs with Ms Sara and the other guests, with a cold beverage, talking about a wide range of topics. I really hope the best for Ms Sara's business and family. And I genuinely appreciate the hospitality."
"Basically ok, needs some maintenance and upgrades, helpful staff and pretty cheap rooms"
