"The deck and the view and the tiny town of Laborie. The beach was very close and accessible, and there were many good restaurants. Gavin who drove us to the airport was great, he told us a lot about the area on the way there, he would make a good guide."

"Location is quiet, right beside the ocean, with a spectacular view from the common area (my room was on the back side, some have ocean views). Air conditioning worked well, bathroom was spacious. Staff was pleasant. While the room was small, the common area has a full kitchen and plenty of space. We spent a lot of time out there. it was a short walk to town, while being away from the traffic and noise. Walk up is steep, but we got help with the luggage."

"The "queen size" bed is not a UK queen, not American queen, it is a double. We found it too small. My only other complaint is that they do not provide shampoo. I mentioned it, and they said it was not a mistake, they just don't. Nobody flies with shampoo, so it is a bizarre choice. We wound up buying a big bottle of shampoo and using 1% of it, as that was all we could find. First hotel in the 500+ I've been to without shampoo. Small thing, but wasted a couple of hours going to a larger town to find some."

"The location was close to the airport. They had a driver available easily. The hostess at the site was wonderful. It was easy to book, pay and the communication was great."

"Frances and her daughter are incredibly warm, welcoming, and responsive. Really couldn't ask for better hosts. The location is excellent. Unbelievable views. In a quiet area, right on the water, but also a short walk to town and to the local sandy beach."

"Amenities (such as toiletries) within the guesthouse were minimal, but given the very reasonable nightly rate was not caught by surprise. May be helpful to guests to have water and basic toiletries available on site."

"Mosquitos. Maybe some plants that deter them in the kitchen & the patio (lavender, basil, rosemary, catnip, mint, lemon balm, lemongrass, eucalyptus, citronella geranium, marigolds. I did bring some Mosquito Repellent Incense Sticks of my own from home, but . . . ."
