Range is a new adventure/activity based guesthouse in Kandy specializing in trekking, cycling, yoga, cookery, photography, golf, bird watching, plantation visits and many other activities. It is only 2.9 mi away from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and ideally based for sightseeing in and around Kandy. The unique property has 5 sleeping areas and attached bathrooms with hot water and air conditioning. No two guestrooms are alike, and the varied and vibrant décor creates an upbeat mood that is the Range signature. Facilities include swimming infinity pool, lounge, fine dining, tea/coffee, library, TV room and rooftop recreation area with stunning views and free Wi-Fi. The dining establishment serves a mix of cuisines and fusion dishes. Adventure guides and equipment for various activities can be hired at the hotel structure. Transportation and tours can be arranged on request.

"There were red ants in the bathroom and toilet seat. I had to get rid of them, the hotel should use sprays before check in! The photos look great but the room was smaller and no TV in the room.. The road to get to the hotel isn't very easy for cars! Very steep. The location is outta city. I booked this place as it had swimming pool but it was under construction, they should have mentioned it."

On top of the hill so it’s tucked away from the traffic and noise of the city centre and has great views. - Friendly, helpful, professional and well dressed staff all with great English on hand around the clock. The helped us sort our laundry, carry our luggage to and from our room, plan our days and get around via Tuk Tuk or taxi. - Breakfast was included, they were happy to serve it at whichever time we requested and it was always there on time so we could easy fit it around our schedule. - Austin the Tuk Tuk driver that works for the hotel was very helpful and friendly. We exchanged numbers and were able to organise lifts with him at short notice to go to and from wherever we needed to go. He always replied and arrived promptly and spoke perfect English so it made the entire process very simple. He was also able to give us lots of tips, advice and local knowledge."

"My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The location is great, right next to Yala National Park. The huts are hand-built, made of clay, living in them is a unique experience. The host is very kind and friendly, helps in any way he can, we are very grateful to him for that and are glad that we met! 😊 The host also prepared some delicious traditional food for us. He will also help with organizing a safari, and can take you around the area himself and tell you interesting stories!"

My rooms that had over 15 foot ceilings, everything made of stone, fans and air conditioning, the nature surrounding us, the Pool and the hotel grounds, the warm and amazing staff! My stay was short and I regret not staying longer. Just AMAZING and also the owner was there to answer all my questions and last minute demands. Don’t forget to tip the staff because they go over and beyond for you."

"What an unforgettable stay! The location of this camp is beautiful and perfectly located for the safari tour. You have direct access to the dune area during sun set hours. Just be aware that you will have to walk quite a bit through deep sand and there are a lot of nature sounds during the night."
