"Our stay was lovely, no negatives, the host was engaging and delightful, and the staff were respectful but very attentive when required. It has a relaxing and quiet vibe about it, perfectly proportioned, plenty of privacy, and the swimming pool is simply stunning. There is an outdoor, but covered, lounge and eating area which can be used at any time to relax in. The meals were exceptional! The staff will advise and organise local trips, drivers, and have a handy tuk tuk chap on standby. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to those wishing for a chilled and relaxing stay."

"Unfortunately, We took our breakfast before coming to the Why property but we took lunch and dinner there. Our children really enjoyed the property from the splendid garden of the Why to the delicious meal and let's not forget the beautiful swimming pool ! They loved being able to interact with the little "lady" dachshund. She is fantastic, super temperament with the kids."

"We wanted to have the tea "party" in the afternoon but because of Low season they were not able to accommodate us unless we told them in advance, we made the reservation the night before, so we could not experience it (24 h min. We took something else in the menu. It as ok. We ordered sea food for dinner ! It was really good ! We were delighted by the food and the service."

"We loved everything about Why House. Our host Henrietta was charming. Comfortable room and bed. Best pillows we’ve ever had in Sri Lanka! The food was delicious. Every night something different. Super service from lovely staff. Breakfasts were generous. Lovely pool a d a very nice bar area. Very convenient to get to the beach in a short tuk tuk ride. We swam with the giant turtles there. Also easy to get into Galle. Letting the daxi was lovely too!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were well maintained. The brekfast was delicious with amazing variety. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the main attractions. I truly enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable throughout. I will definitely come back in the future and highly recommend this hotel to others."

"Why House was very luxurious. The staff were exceptionally kind, the surroundings were amazing and our villa was incredible. We ate beautiful food for breakfast and dinner. Hoppers night was delicious ! We were also there for a cultural dance demonstration evening.. This accommodation was truly an experience."

"We changed our accommodation mid way through our trip because the previous villa was by a busy road. What a relief to come to this garden paradise with a lovely pool and family focused service. The room we stayed in was well appointed, spacious and had a super comfy bed and bedding. The food was delicious with different themes every night so you don’t get bored - the Sri Lankan food was the best we had on our trip! The location was perfect for going around the South Coast - close enough to get to Galle, Unawatuna or venture further and then the closest beach Wijaya/Dalawalla was perfect for a toddler with the turtles and shallow waters. Henrietta was exemplary as a host and it really felt like your house. We were very reluctant to leave ! Would heartily recommend to anyone coming to Sri Lanka to come to Why House !"
