An Express Breakfast Spread is available for only €6.50, with optional egg dish add-ons to suit all needs. For early departures, an express morning meal can be served from 4:00 AM upon request. Free street car park is available nearby, and secure parking space is offered for €6 per night. The place to break is committed to sustainability, using 100% renewable energy for heating, hot water, and LED lighting. There is no air conditioning, but an eco-friendly ventilation system helps keep the lodgings cool in summer, especially with the naturally fresh night air. Only environmentally friendly cleaning products and 100% cotton bed linen are used to reduce the establishment’s ecological impact. The surrounding area, once home to Riga’s merchants and craftsmen, is now known for its rich cultural diversity and distinctive architecture. "The fact that I got there! I needed 2 locals and the receptionist of the Metropole Hotel to assist to getting to the Dodo Hotel. Booking.com--> You catch the Airport Bus (#22) to the Central Bus/Tram Station that is near the overhead train line. Turn right under the train bridge to the markets (the 4 arches) and be on the side of the Maxima store to catch tram #7 to the hotel. Dodo Hotel was in a suburban area that was clean, quiet, and staff were appropriate. Across the tram lines, there was a store to buy food and any supplies needed. TV had channels in many languages and would recommend a stay. I was there for a single night, however, this is the important opportunity of a hotel! I would stay again Well done!!"

"Shower is in bad condition, falling apart, hot water control out of order, almost got scolded because it suddenly went hot. Smoke from smoking hotel guests was coming in the room and in the night room was smelling very bad, like somebody smoked in it, and im pregnant. So im not sure if the rooms are value for what they cost originally. Also zero sound insulation, need earplugs to sleep, you can hear everything other guests are doing. For one night stay can be tolerable if at reduced price and for young people maybe who dont care so much about some comforts. If not these things, would be super nice and decent hotel."

"The location of the hotel is great and it's overall excellent for the budget. The only issue is that there was no elevator and I was carrying a big suitcase during check-in and check-out. The room is clean and the staff was friendly."

"Nice private place with a designated parking place right at the entrance gate. Great location for families with kids due to a public playground next to the property. We found the bathrobes and slippers very thoughtful for going to the outdoor toilet facilities. Hosts were very responsive regarding our request for the heater as the end of September is quite chilly. Though having it already on would make arrival more cosy. However, the place heated up quickly."

"Excellent location. Very well equipped. Nice, large bathroom. And we were greeted with champagne! In addition, the host is very responsive and quick to get in touch. Great place for up to 3 people! There were four of us and we stayed there for over a week, most nights just two or three of us slept there. The couple nights though, when all four of us slept in the accommodation, became very cramped, but the host warned us about it, although a few nights are not a big problem. In any case, I would not recommend to take this apartment longer for a night or two, if you are 4 people, and all of you plan to actually sleep there, and good night sleep is what you are seeking for - otherwise - one of the finest choices to explore Valmiera to the fullest! :)"

"I loved everything about this place, location is perfect, if you're traveling by train or autobus 10-15 mins walk maximum. You don't have to worry about groceries, small mini-mart is 3 mins walk away with everything you may need, If you arrive late and the mini mart is closed,you can always grab something to eat at Circle-K gas station open 24hrs. If your stay is short and you want to explore Valmiera, you may have to come again, because once you enter the apartment, you won't want to go outside. It's so nice and cozy and equipped with everything. On my stay I didn't go outside once. I highly recommend this place."
