This cozy guesthouse and recreation center enjoys an unbeatable location in the center of Liepaja, directly at the trade canal connecting the Baltic Sea with Liepaja Lake. Originally built in 1772, Libava today offers hospitable lodgings with individual colors, a café, a eatery specializing in fish dishes, a banquet hall for up to 150 people, and a lounge with an open fireplace for up to 20 people. The bath complex includes a sauna, a tonic steam bath and a treatment center bath. The sea and the lake are both about an 8-minute drive away from the Libava.

"The staff was helpful and welcome. The location is very good and it is next to the port channel. They have a seafood restaurant in the building with an open terrace. In the summer time it shall be nice to spend a time there and enjoy fresh seafood.."
"There was not standard hotel breakfast available during our stay. It was not a problem to us as there are a lot of nice caffes around. The room is spacious and it includes all necessary amenities, however our room was in the attic floor and for a tall person it can be challenging. the ceiling is quite low."
"Very comfortable. Perfect location to wander the promnade. This building has interesting history, too. There is a restaurant on site that is marvelous! When you are offered breakfast, TAKE IT! It is a helluva bargain for the amount of food you receive. Would definitely return."

"At a breakfast they served us a table when we came, but the table cloath was not cleened from previous eaters, so there were stamps and bread crunches. And there was just one big blanket, they did not have separate beds, I travelled with my adult son, so it was uncomfortable to sleep with just 1 blanket."

"A very cosy place located conveniently close to many eateries and major attractions. The Liepāja beach is within walking distance. There is a tram stop across the street where you can catch a tram that takes you to the main railway station and a bus stop where you can hop on a bus that goes all the way to Karosta."

"Nice private place with a designated parking place right at the entrance gate. Great location for families with kids due to a public playground next to the property. We found the bathrobes and slippers very thoughtful for going to the outdoor toilet facilities. Hosts were very responsive regarding our request for the heater as the end of September is quite chilly. Though having it already on would make arrival more cosy. However, the place heated up quickly."

"Everything was awesome! The host was kind and always responded quickly to our questions. The apartment was cozy and clean, so it truly felt like home. The location was also perfect, close to gyms, supermarkets, the university, and the bus station."

"Excellent location. Very well equipped. Nice, large bathroom. And we were greeted with champagne! In addition, the host is very responsive and quick to get in touch. Great place for up to 3 people! There were four of us and we stayed there for over a week, most nights just two or three of us slept there. The couple nights though, when all four of us slept in the accommodation, became very cramped, but the host warned us about it, although a few nights are not a big problem. In any case, I would not recommend to take this apartment longer for a night or two, if you are 4 people, and all of you plan to actually sleep there, and good night sleep is what you are seeking for - otherwise - one of the finest choices to explore Valmiera to the fullest! :)"

"I loved everything about this place, location is perfect, if you're traveling by train or autobus 10-15 mins walk maximum. You don't have to worry about groceries, small mini-mart is 3 mins walk away with everything you may need, If you arrive late and the mini mart is closed,you can always grab something to eat at Circle-K gas station open 24hrs. If your stay is short and you want to explore Valmiera, you may have to come again, because once you enter the apartment, you won't want to go outside. It's so nice and cozy and equipped with everything. On my stay I didn't go outside once. I highly recommend this place."
