"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They played cool music in the lounge area. The place was very comfortable and a short distance walk to the bustling markets. Great place at a great value"

"Perfect location in Tana, you are right in the city center but still in a quiet and safe street. The staff is very welcoming and the place is quite popular among locals and the queer community."
"The rooms can get a bit warm during the day and the dorm doesn’t have a fan or a/c. The showers although clean and well maintained lack a bit of privacy"
"The staff is beyond friendly and helpful! The lounge area is nice and chill."

"Great location in Tana, best staff ever - very kind, try to help you in any way possible, comfortable bed, good food :) Fazit: price-performance ratio really ok"
"Super noisy (generator next the house runs for hours in the night, doors get slammed while ppl using the sanitary in the 1st floor), sanitary quite clean but sub standard. In our case their was no water coming out of the tubes for two days = you need to be prepared for that!"
"Good location, friendly staff and clean room. The bed was very comfy especially after a long plane trip."

"Excellent place to crash for a few nights and explore the city. It's not a very busy place but I did manage to find a friend to walk around town with. The staff are amazing."
"Music parties on Friday and Saturday nights get quite loud and busy."
"This, as far as I can tell, is the only actual hostel, with associated vibe, anywhere in the whole country (although lovasoa in antsirabe is close). That said, even though it's a little pricey for Madagascar, it's probably the only place you're going to meet other solo travelers. This is particularly pertinent considering room costs and guide fees in the national parks- finding travel mates really cuts down on expenses, and this is probably the only place you're likely to meet them. Aside from that, they've got great food and live events and even a decent book exchange! Rare to find nowadays, and so much appreciated. The staff were just wonderful, as well- knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and they all speak great English although they will let you accost them in broken French or Malagasy if you want to practice."
"The actual facilities of the hostel are just ok. Hostel average, I would say. There also always seems to be someone sawing wood directly outside the girl's dorm first thing in the morning, which was weird. So, if you don't care about atmosphere or staff, you could probably find a comparable room for cheaper somewhere else, but given the dearth of places in the whole country where you can chill and compare notes with other travelers, I'd say it's well worth it to stay here, since it's probably going to be your only chance."
"I had a small room with a toilet and shower (it's what they call "a bangalow") for myself. It was okay but don't expect the luxury."
"Sheets could be cleaner...."
"Very friendly and helpful staff. Our small bungalow room was in the back, through the kitchen."
"Aucun."
"Clean and comfortable accommodation in a convenient location. Staff were helpful and the attached restaurant served good food at a reasonable price."
"Wifi didn't work in my room so I had to go to the lounge to use it"

"This is the best place where you can stay! It's clean and comfortable and maybe not in the very center town but you meet a very nice , friendly and lovely family. In Italy we say "you find a friend, you find a treasure", this is what you're going to live."
