"It’s just like staying in someone’s home. It’s delightful. It’s really pretty. The rooms are nicely designed is a great location and has it’s just a really nice boutique hotel but it’s really the team members who make it feel welcoming, and you feel looked after it’s hard to explain, but it’s not hospitality. It’s just More than that."

"The Barrister was in an ideal. location with close proximity to all of the historical sights, great restaurants and bars. The property was clean and very well equipped with essentials and little extras. The staff was welcoming, helpful and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was everything we wished it would be. Thank you!"

"The only issue was that the local bars were extremely loud even with the windows closed until very late, 2am - 3am. Thumping music, screaming, etc."

"When the moment you step in, you feel like a welcome guest, and all the team members are have great personalities are friendly willing to help offering you a cup of tea whatever you want it just couldn’t be more delightful. The honor really sets an example of really wanting to engage with his clients and to make them feel at home and have an enjoyable stay in his hotel. It’s beautifully decorated. It is spotlessly clean. It has amazing views. It’s quiet and very centrally located."

"What a charming place to stay when you come to Valletta in Malta. I was warmly greeted by Olena and so grateful to be allowed to check in early so I could start my adventure. The rooms are very well appointed and smartly designed in terms of space and decor. The location is quite good though there was a fair amount of construction when I was there to cause a few minor hiccups. Breakfast was very nice. Healthy options abound. Mark, the owner is truly one of a kind. Hopefully you get the chance to talk with him when you stay at The Barrister. He’s passionate about his work and has lots of information to share about Malta and the things to do. The Barrister is top notch. An excellent choice for anyone who is lucky enough to come visit Malta. Thank you so much."

"Great location, everything within easy walking distance. Room (with Maltese balcony) was compact but workable. The walk- in shower was exceptional. Another room for our group (deluxe double) was larger, including a huge bathroom with a beautiful soaking tub /shower combo that was a little difficult to manage - so take this into consideration when choosing your room. Many nice touches- an array of amenities, earplugs (we didn’t need), bottled water and the minibar stocked (and replenished on request) with soft drinks. The staff was attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice, the breakfast room staff does an exceptional job of keeping the buffet stocked and looking fresh, and keeping the tables clean. Mark, the owner / manager, was present every morning, and was very helpful with suggestions and insights. We loved our stay here, it would be my top choice for a return trip to Valletta."

"All in all the Barrister is a lovely, cozy, elegant place to hang your hat when visiting Valletta as the charming city is literally at your doorstep. The room was light and airy with very comfortable bed & lots of bathroom amenities and yes wonderful shower. The breakfast was full of options as well as excellent coffee made for each guest. Manager usually on hand with lots of tips for visiting the city. Hotel surrounded by streets with restaurants."

"My one complaint is that I booked a room with what I believed was going to be a large terrace.instead our terrace was more of a narrow balcony that nevertheless had two chairs on either side of a coffee table if one wanted to eat or drink outside… so perhaps the terrace did not meet my expectations, nor really the specific view. But that is a small quibble that would not keep me from recommending the Barrister to those seeking upscale but not ostentatious accommodations in Valetta!"

"Really enjoyed the hotel. The location is excellent and convenient. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The room was very generously sized, clean and comfortable. The complimentary mini bar refreshments were very welcome as well. As was the air conditioning. The continental breakfast was also very nice, and it was a pleasure that the hotel was not very busy and crowded. We will be sure to return."

"All generally fine. However, having an overhead shower in the room would have been preferred, or at the very least a curtain/partition to stop the water getting everywhere. A few more seating areas in the bedroom and clothes hooks would have been useful. These are minor issues though."
