"Staff friendliness, super clean , no insects at all , and also really close to the beach. Plus transport to and from the port all on time and easy to schedule. Also, we read some reviews that the Wifi is bad. That is not true (probably they fixed it) it was super reliable and fast. Great place to relax , would definitely visit again."

"The location was excellent; it isn’t in the more dense part of the island and I counted about 190 steps from the door to the water. staff are excellent; very helpful, available and accommodating. The breakfast menu was limited but the food is nicely prepared and tasty. The mostly private outside area (with a fan) & the courtyard in front to the room are comfortable. The small “drinks bar” is well-stocked and the activities area is run by a couple very nice young men. We really enjoyed this personable 3-room “hotel” that felt more like a private cottage."

"Everything was perfect! Was such a special vacation!! We stayed for 5 nights, and since the minute we got to the male airport, vakkaru staff supported us! They were very kind! The location was great, it is near two blue holes, so we were able to snorkeling with a very active marine life. We saw some sharks, rays, and lots of beautiful fishes! We also adventured ourselves in stand up paddle and kayaking and was a different way to discover the marine life over vakkaru island! The sunset, beach, and view was breathtaking! The restaurants were speechless! Thank you vakkaru team, specially Skyler that was our butler!"

"This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. For its price, it is absolutely worth it, we definitely had a wonderful stay. The private beach was clean, the staff were the kindest and most helpful people we have met, they arranged everything we wanted and even beyond what they offered. The restaurant had some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. The pool offered cold water, which was very much appreciated during hot afternoons. And the view from the hotel lobby and from our terrace... I will miss it dearly every day. We will be happy to come back next time we visit the Maldives."

"The customer service was amazing, we felt very looked after. Breakfast was great and restaurants varied - especially Reethi Grill. Ahmed at breakfast kept us fed and our coffee bottomless! Jani at Reethi Grill was fantastic. The pool is lovely and next to the beach. The snorkelling at the house reef is brilliant - some of the best snorkelling we have done in the Maldives. We are already making plans to come again - we loved our experience here!"

"This is a very small resort, which makes it feel private and peaceful. The service is truly guest-focused. We had an amazing manager, Alma, who spoke our native language and took care of anything we needed within minutes. For example, we mentioned that we wanted to order binoculars and asked if she could help us, and Alma immediately offered to arrange a delivery all the way from Malé to the island. In the end, we didn’t go through with it since the binoculars wouldn’t have arrived before we left, but the fact that she was ready to make it happen meant so much. It really showed how far they’re willing to go to make your stay special. Very night they switch up the dinner theme — from Arabic and Indian to Italian and Maldivian - so it never gets boring. At the same time, there are always some classic comfort food options if you’re not in the mood to experiment."
