"location is good. Facilities are in keeping with the type of building."

"The hostel was very clean, no bugs or smells, and quiet. There were many other guests, but it did not feel crowded. Staff was so very nice and efficient."
"Working the kitchen stove was a bit confusing but manageable. The room was almost completely taken up by the bed, but should be no problem for light travelers."
"It’s an old house which gives it a special charm. I felt very confident and comfortable and I actually felt at home. I really loved it. The rooms were very comfortable and this place is nicely designed and decorated. I extended my stay because I liked it so much."
"The rooms are a bit cold in the winter. There is a heater which does good work, but maybe a bigger heater could be better."
"Really liked the qwerky little hostel - yes its up a big hill but you get nice views as a result and its not a hard walk back to the city. The building itself is very cool with lots of communal spaces to hang out. Would recommend."

"We appreciated this very cute little cottage. Obviously a labor of love for the owners who have tried to maintain the nostalgic history of the home. We found it to be quite comfortable overall and convenient to walk to restaurants etc down the esplanade. We had a small issue with a smoke detector battery and the owner quickly responded to resolve the problem. We really appreciated the welcome gift of wine and cheese. Very thoughtful after a long drive. Wonderful little courtyard and access to laundry. Very well equipped overall for cooking in."
