Nomad's Backpackers features one of the best locations in Queenstown, nestled centrally situated in the town center, a 328 feet from the stunning Lake Whakatipu. Nomads Queenstown presents a variety of room types, from small and large dormitories to Private King private treatment centerces with en-suite. Many of the accommodations have balconies with picturesque vistas of Lake Whakatipu and the Remarkables peaks range. There is an onsite cinema room, sauna and common area complete with smart TV, infinity pool table, foosball table and vending machine. Guests can sample some of Otago’s finest wines or dabble in adrenaline, our onsite information desk will be able to book and organize a range of activities. As we are established in the center of Queenstown one side of our property backs onto a popular social street (Searle Lane). Due to this we do experience noise from local bars especially over the weekend so please contact us directly if you are a lighter sleeper and we will do our best to allocate you to a room on the Church Street side of our property which is quieter. We too have free ear plugs available at our 24-hour reception if required. Please note that although the majority of our dwelling units have balconies, there is a small amount which face onto the laneway and only have a window. "Location is perfect! Amenities are super great!kitchen well equipped Staff super 👌 I had an issue with a lady in my room, they immediately offered switching room but she was checking out the next day so I didn't bother staff much. Bathrooms were always clean!"
"In my room, I don't know if this is the case for any room, there wasn't a big locker for our bags I had to leave it on the floor. Only one for small items. There was also no individual outlet!"
"Great rooms. Shared balcony on back street was noisy as we were warned. But when windows were closed, not really a problem. Really center of town and we had picked the hotel for the 24/7. We landed 9pm, reach hotel with the public bus for 10 NZD, reached hotel around 11pm and no problem for check in."

"The location of this hostel was so ideal, you are in the heart of Queenstown! You have quick access to shops, restaurants, and pick up spots for so many tours. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. You were right next to the lake for a beautiful sunset."
"The beds were noisy, anytime I or whoever was in the bed moved you could hear. I will give some grace as when I traveled it was NYE, but the room floor and common areas (minus the bathrooms) were dirty. It was very hectic with tons of people (again NYE) but there was crumbs, trash, etc on my room floor and in the lounge area. The sofas just looked dirty, but I mean it is a City Hostel so take that for what it is. There were not many events held by the hostel leading up to NYE but they had a bar crawl for NYE."
"The hostel is located in the center of Queenstown which made for easy walking around the town. The room was set up nicely for two people, with twin beds, a balcony, and bathroom. The staff were exceptional from checking in to departure. They suggested restaurants and activities and basically were responsible for us enjoying our time in Queenstown. 100% recommend!"

The private shower was nice too, and I appreciate that this room also had a desk and two lamps."
