"Very functional apartment with great AC in bedrooms, kitchen well stocked, useful washer for clothes, steps from the grocery store, and although the private beach was rock, not sand, I watched beautiful sunsets over Moorea, and had surprisingly good snorkeling with fish, anemone ,and corals. Taxi rides to airport 3,000, and same price to ferry dock for day trip on Moorea"

"Small points only: keys are at risk of breaking off in the locks for the gates as they need grease or WD-40. And just for others to know you must take garbage outside frequently and wash dishes/pans immediately or tiny ants will invade"

"This is the second time I stayed at Chalet Chenal and I would stay there again if I come to Moorea. Excellent hosts and excellent location. Kayaks and bikes are a huge plus as you can kayak from the house straight into the ocean in a few minutes!"

"the morning breakfast's were wonderful out by their palapa bar (has we call them back here in the USA & Mexico) the pool area was great the host Marie Do & DJ are very friendly and loving couple had lots of information about their Island Moorea to share we had private parking near our room which has outside sitting inside room has a kitchen bedroom & bathroom over all I would highly recommend this place to stay"

"We stayed there because we had a flight the following morning and it’s only a ten minute drive to the airport. I think that’s why most people stay there but it’s a good central location at a fair price. Though small, it’s a very comfortable, private, quiet bungalow and the owner communicates well and speaks English."

"Check in was a breeze - Teihotu picked us up at the airport! The property is clean and comfortable and the alarm clock (roosters!) are fully functional. It is located within a family compound so you experience the local way of life instead of the homogeneous hotel experience. There are plenty of restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, etc within walking distance. Teihotu is very accommodating and available without being intrusive."

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood 5 min away from airport and beaches. Its best to have a car,"

"Wow! Yes, Wow! Of the thousands of places I've stayed in 70+ years, this ranks among the top three and I can't say how wonderful the other two were. It is the only place I can't say how to improve it. A fantastic setting/view, full feature bungalow, modern, clean, well run, and with a delightful hostess. It is a bit difficult to get to, but if you managed to make it to Tahiti, you're up to it. If I return to the island, this will be my first booking (and I had another top-20 stay there). When the price doubles, it will still be a bargain (with a waiting list). So don't miss out!"
