"The staff was kind. There was a nice common area right outside of the room with an honor bar that was great to hang out in. The breakfast was nice as was the dinner offered on premises. It was dark, quiet and peaceful at night. The best part though is that you're only a minute's walk from the Trinidad ruins."

"What an amazing experience at Posada Maria. Very nice guesthouse in a beautiful setting, next to the Jesuit ruins. Can't get any better than that. Large room with high ceiling, modern, well equipped, and super clean. Every morning a great breakfast buffet with a large selection of homemade bread, homemade jams and honey, as well as eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, coffee, tea, and juice. Very friendly family and staff. Thank you very much for your hospitality."

"It was across the street from the Jesuit mission in Trinidad. This allowed us to visit during the day and again at night when the site was beautifully lit up. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had dinner here as well and it was delicious and excellent value. There is a buffet style breakfast which was very good. Maria’s son Hendrick spoke excellent English which was a bonus for us. We highly recommend Posada Maria."

"In our four months traveling in South America, Posada Maria is by far the best guesthouse we have stayed in. Immaculately clean. Spacious, comfortable rooms, and nice common area for relaxing. Great value for the price. Maria, her family, and the staff are very welcoming. Wonderful buffet breakfast each morning with delicious brown bread and jams. Ice cream, baked goods, and dinner available at the cozy guesthouse restaurant (bring your appetite, the dinner portions are big!). Very quiet place...we slept really well. WIFI works well. Location is fantastic (across the street from the Jesuit mission ruins). If you don't have your own transport, ask at the ticket office about a taxi to Jesús de Tavarangue (one of their staff members actually drove us to the site, waited an hour, and brought us back for a reasonable price)."

"Located five minutes from the Jesuit ruins, the Posada Maria is a good base for exploring the region. The hotel is very clean and modern and has everything you need for a short stay. The pool is great to cool off on the warm summer days and the breakfast is amazing, a true continental one with delicious bread (hard to come by in South America) and a good variation of products. We had dinner here as well, which was super good as well. German kitchen, but refreshing after our month travelling around! Staff is very kind and friendly and can give tips and advice! When the rain started dripping through the roof into our room, we immediately got another one. Very smooth!"

"A little oasis, in Trinidad. The location is great for the ruins. The staff are all extremely friendly, and Hendryk speaks English. The breakfast is excellent and complete. The fresh bread and preserves are worth the trip. There's a small shop, selling cakes and sweets, and a restaurant for the evenings."
