"Gorgeous place, lovely mid-century modern design and blissful beds. Pool was a fantastic place to laze for the afternoon, and the food at Hadika was stunning (chicken liver mezze, lamb shank, beetroot salad!). Great breakfast too. Best of all the staff who were so delightful, smiling, helpful, efficient. Special thanks to Faisal, Yuda and the pool staff, lovely Keshman and Julie at Millie’s, and all the young staff at Hadika. Perfect place for a two-day stopover. Don’t miss a walk around the bay in the early evening and the National Museum is a must, about 45 mins walk along the Corniche."

"Nothing. Doha is tolerant but (IMHO as an older woman) you’ll be most comfortable if you wear fairly modest clothes."

"I really like The Ned style, it feels a bit like Soho House, but with more luxurious touches everywhere including the cozy bedroom. They’ve taken a beautifully designed former Ministry of Interior building on the Corniche, next to Bida’a Park, and kept the integrity of the original architecture and many of the high‑end materials, which gives the place a lot of character. I stayed for one night during a 22 hr layover in Doha, and the lobby at night was fascinating and vibrant, with cozy lighting and different areas, each with its own atmosphere. There are several restaurants spread around the space, each tucked into its own corner, which makes it feel lively without being chaotic. The staff were super friendly and amazing, and they made my short stay feel really special."

"I’d say the only downside is the location. It’s a bit far from supermarkets and other shops, so you can’t just walk out and find everything nearby, but everything is still easily reachable by taxi"
