"We can't say enough good things about La Locanda! It is a beautiful property with lovely rooms and a wonderful dining area. The food was excellent, and it was convenient and much appreciated to be able to walk to the lobby to get a beverage or glass of wine. The staff and service were absolutely top notch! They were extremely accommodating to our schedule and were able to provide transportation from Kigali and for our various outings. The location is close enough to the city that it is walkable and convenient, but it is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood."

"It's a nice cosy place, with very nice service and relaxing atmosphere (great playlist for example). Nice to have complementary drinks throughout the stay Breakfast was very good the first day, but then I got less and less as days went by. Room was very nice also."
"The area around the hotel is not very nice. I had great expectations about the (italian) food after reading comments, and I was quite disappointed. For example, I got two evenings the same dish (while staying only 3 nights). Overal, I found the hotel a bit overpriced, even by European standards"

"Nena House was a true gem. Hidden away, off the beaten path in western Rwanda, this beautiful property was a surprise and delight for my husband and I. Our hostess was wonderful and accommodating, the food was delicious and local, and the room/cottage was clean and spacious. But the real aspect of this location that won us over was that just outside the accommodations was a tiny tavern where locals came to drink, enjoy and rest after a days long work. It was a great way to connect with local residents, get to know a little bit about their lives and enjoy a frosty beer. Early in the evening, music was played and everyone had a wonderful time. The bartender was warm and welcoming and the hostess explained that the tavern was her original family home, now converted. The best part was that long before bedtime approached, the party ended and the quiet landscape became a wonderful oasis. I adored this place and found it so charming."

"Beautiful and relaxing place blessed with the sounds of birds. Chance was always attentive and helpful in making sure my stay was comfortable and assisted in arranging a bike tour to the twin lakes. The breakfasts from Mama Jacky were always delicious and filling. Would stay again!"
