"Really kind staff, very comfortable room, right on the lake, amazing breakfast. Easily my best room in Rwanda thus far."
"I don't know if any buildings in the country put mesh on their windows to keep out the mosquitos, but it sure would be nice if they did!"
"Awesome spot on Lake Kivu! The manager (Faustin) is extremely nice and helpful! Set me up with a great tour of the lake the following morning on short notice!"

"It’s coziness, the absolute hell of Fustein, the mesmerizing location and their Spa services. And I loved the simple, lovely and delicious breakfast too. It’s like you have a cottage in front of the lake and just relaxing. Nothing fancy but simply amazing."
"Just recommending to add nets on the window to be able to open it carefree, not bothered of anything joining you in the room and to get this nice breeze. The weather is lovely at night."
"Awesome three-night stay. The room was comfortable and had a nice view of the lake, a great breakfast was served right outside our room. We ate dinner at other hotels (Livalana was closest but we preferred Cormoran). Faustin was an incredible host - he arranged a full-day boat tour to a coffee farm and islands, helped with our bus back to Kigali, and even found us baby goats nearby. Deep tissue massage was excellent and professional - wish I had done it all three days."
"The room was comfortable and bug-free but a small fan would help. Chairs outside the room were also not great for lounging but if you ask they'll bring others."
"quiet and peaceful clean rooms good breakfast"
"small rooms no place to put luggage"

"The reception and car parking are not located close to the rooms."

"The stay was very pleasant. Our room had a nice outdoor area where we ate breakfast that was very enjoyable. The rooms were nothing fancy, but totally acceptable for the price point. The highlight of the trip is definitely the host, who made our stay feel extremely special."
"The window of the room didn't have a screen which would have been nice."
"Amazing place ! Right on the water for a beautiful view and swimming ! The room was huge , king size bed , very private area in the back with nice area to relax outside ! The spa is in the front yard ! A 5 minute boda from town , no problem ! Breakfast was good had coffee juice eggs and fruit ! Free drinking water too!"

"Great to have breakfast on the terrace outside the room. Service is great and Faustine was super helpful. Great location at the Lakeside."
"Most rooms have Lake View, mine did not - make sure you check if that is an important consideration for you. I should have requested that specifically. My fault not the hotels."

"Nena House was a true gem. Hidden away, off the beaten path in western Rwanda, this beautiful property was a surprise and delight for my husband and I. Our hostess was wonderful and accommodating, the food was delicious and local, and the room/cottage was clean and spacious. But the real aspect of this location that won us over was that just outside the accommodations was a tiny tavern where locals came to drink, enjoy and rest after a days long work. It was a great way to connect with local residents, get to know a little bit about their lives and enjoy a frosty beer. Early in the evening, music was played and everyone had a wonderful time. The bartender was warm and welcoming and the hostess explained that the tavern was her original family home, now converted. The best part was that long before bedtime approached, the party ended and the quiet landscape became a wonderful oasis. I adored this place and found it so charming."
