"The breakfast is the best! We can have a breakfast until 3pm. And we have a lot of option for chose. Also the room is clean, bed is comfortable and big enough for 2 people. If my friend have plan to go paje, I’ll highly recommend to stay in BaraBara"

"Great location with good food just at your doorstep. Also heading to the beach is just a 15' walk away and many other activities can be easily reached by car. Transportation can also be organised by the staff."
"Checking in at the restaurant counter felt a bit weird but that is simply the way they work at BaraBara. For that price the quality of the stay definitely was great and I do not have anything else to mention."
"Lovely staff, quiet and clean room, comfortable bed, wifi, good location about 10 mins walk from the beach, amazing breakfast options"

"Everything. Especially the inclusive brunch everyday. Location was great, away from the loud area in the center of town and loud beach resorts, but still easy to walk everywhere. Beautiful decor and room decorations and amenities. Friendly and accommodating staff. Room service each day. Filtered water! Save on plastics! Reliable WiFi."
"Room was a bit small. I Recommend the window curtain have the option to open up to bring more light into the room. Shower a bit broken, small faucet pipe sprayed water to toilet area, maybe put a shower curtain or door there"
"Staff were friendly, helpful and flexible. Food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable and clean."

"Its very good value for money and they serve the best breakfast i experienced on the island"
"Nothing, it was as I expected"
"The warm reception when I arrived, the staff and the breakfast!! The mango and pineapple smoothie was the best I’ve ever had in my life!"
"I thought the bed was a bit too hard but that was the only complaint."
"Great staff, delicious food and smoothies, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Good value for price. The hotel can connect you with various activities (snorkeling etc.)."
"Not a true negative considering the price, but it's about a 15 minute walk to the beach along the road which can be busy, so keep in mind if you have difficulty walking."
"Lovely staff, food, design. Very useful sunbeds on the beach and Mateo with his staff. We organised many excursions like dolphin, snorkeling with lunch on sandbank. The concept of eco hotel is very important and noticable in many parts of the hotel. Super!"
"Nothing, all is perfect!!"
"The hotel was very nice. There's a really good restaurant just in front. The hotel has a great breakfast. Everything was clean and pretty."
"We did several tours through a guy called Mateo and there were several problems due to lack of communication and him not checking his phone. We felt like he was trying to rip us off all the time. He wasn't upfront about how it was unlikely to see dolphins during the dolphin tour. We talked to some locals after the tour that told us it was rare to see some. Mateo told us "it's a game" and that it's common to see some. Which we learned was not true. The hotel is fantastic but I wouldn't recommend booking tours with Mateo."

"Beautiful remote location in nature with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful sunsets. A good place if you’re looking for a change from busy tourist towns and crowded resorts. I lounged around with the sounds of birds and surf, long walks on the beach, and snorkeling. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was great, and rooms cozy. There’s also a list of activities and local excursions."

"I can't recommend the Jabali Bungalows enough. This was the best place I have stayed in Zanzibar, and one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. The staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived, and very helpful with any additional requests I had. The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable, and felt very special, and the swimming pool was a great addition. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming. The area is beautiful, with a stunning and very quiet beach - you can walk to Paje, but it's far enough away from other tourists and people selling things on the beach. I would recommend it to everyone, but especially families or couples wanting to enjoy a quiet paradise."

"I must say there were a bit conflicting reviews on this hotel so we didn’t know exactly what to expect. Once arrived in the hotel the view is astonishing: right on the beach, with a beautiful terrace where breakfast is served. Make sure you get a sea view room and you’ll wake up with the sound of the ocean in the morning. Rooms are small but clean, great value for money if you want a peaceful unpretentious spot to enjoy a true local experience. In the morning you can walk and find your spot on the beautiful Jambiani beach (we went for kite lessons a small walk away) but please note there is not much to do in the evening. Thanks to the hotel staff we arranged transfer via Tuk Tuk to Paje which is a bit more touristic. For us it was a great stay and we got also help afterwards when we left sunglasses there: staff was able to find someone to bring them back to us in Stone town, which was very much appreciated."

"We booked Amani Villa on a recommendation from a friend and honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed, but wow!! The space is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. It felt easy and welcoming from the start. Loved the kitchen!! The beach was a very short walk away and easy to access! We really loved everything and would happily come back ❤️"
