"Your Zanzibar Place has the best vibes. Despite not having “set activities”, this hostel is very social, and better - it seems to attract the friendliest, most laid back travelers. The owners and all of the staff are really wonderful. Great bar. Great food. Stone’s throw away from the beach and in a very convenient location in Paje. Tons of comfy common & lounge spaces, all set in a lovely area surrounded by sand and vegetation. The private bungalows are spacious and comfortable. The prices for food, accommodation, drinks are all fair. It’s not one of those fancy, westernized, party hostels like you get everywhere in Southeast Asia, but a true, laid back, friendly beach hostel that creates an awesome vibe for backpackers and travelers of all backgrounds. We really loved our stay here, and made some great friends. There is also an adorable hostel cat there named Minouche (sp?) who I still think about often."
