"I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The people were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to the housekeeper who noticed the “Happy Birthday” sign and the balloons and created a beautiful decoration on the bed using towels and balloons. She even wrote “Happy Birthday” with palm leaves. It was a very kind and thoughtful surprise that made my stay even more special."

"There were a few occasional issues with water and electricity, which I understand is quite normal for this region. The property itself is a bit older, and there were some renovation works happening at the beginning of the stay which caused a little noise and inconvenience, but nothing serious. Overall, it did not affect the experience too much. 🙂"

"This is the second time we stayed with family and friends at SunSeaBar Hotel. The breakfast Buffet is excellent. We really enjoyed it. The closeness to the beautiful beach is great, it couldn't be any closer. We chose a room with seaside view. The attention of the staff was very good and friendly. Problems with the air conditions were resolved or we were given another room. There were always enough towels available. I can advise anybody to stay there. Just check the room for a good working air condition right after arrival."

She was very friendly, calm and professional. I felt safe and in good hands. It was also free as I paid for health insurance on entry into Zanzibar. The property is very well situated, clean and homely. The manager is simply amazing, detail oriented and very accommodating. I got everything I asked for promptly."

"The property was a great location right on the beach also near other beach as well as all restaurants and bars were very near. The staff was very kind and accommodating with everything very fast service always ready to help with whatever I needed even for help outside the hotel. They made sure I was always attended too when needed. Especially al pacino, he was great very kind with everyone and really helped me with everything and constantly checked on me. I would deff stay here again. They made me feel right at home and welcomed."

"Stayed for 4 nights in Kendwa at this esteemed hotel, had a relaxing time and fruitful vacation. Starting from the warm welcome by "Alpacino", the manager of the hotel who makes you feel home, helps in tour reservations and gives the ultimate recommendations to make you satisfied during your stay. As for the room, it was clean and the view from its balcony was nice. The seafood at the beach front restaurant was very delicious, the portions were more than enough, the service was quick and the sunset views were stunning. Can't skip mentioning "Fatima", the receptionist who was always smiling and willing to help."

"Although the hotel is located directly on the beach, however, it's on a public beach. But still you can enjoy swimming in the ocean by walking few minutes away from the boats side. But even though this can be considered somehow positive in a way that specific tours by boat can start from there."

"This beachfront hotel is in such a perfect spot on Kendwa Beach. The staff are honestly the nicest — super friendly and really on top of things. You can swim right in the sea, and the beach itself is amazing: clean, soft, white sand that’s great for just walking around or relaxing. There’s always a good vibe too — I saw people jogging, playing volleyball, just enjoying the place. And the sunsets? Absolutely stunning. Definitely a highlight. The beach restaurant has really tasty food at fair prices. I was especially into the seafood soup and the jumbo shrimp — so good"

"There were quite a few short power cuts. It would be great if they had a smoother switch to the generator so guests don’t feel the interruptions. The toilet flushing system could use a fix — after one flush, you need to wait a while for the tank to fill up again. Breakfast could be improved with more variety and proper labels for all the dishes. The food would be nicer if it was kept warm, and the containers were a bit tricky to open. Having everything lined up with clear labels in front would make things much easier. The toilet near the reception wasn’t very clean, which was a bit disappointing."
