Guest reviews for Mangoes Resort
"The convenient location, the private pool of the room, the island massage available and the something more option of breakfast."
"The open access to the private pool with no privacy screen between the two rooms and that the hot water only ran for a bit and then it turned cold again."
"The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were good, and we really liked our private pool."
"The property was in need of some TLC- examples rotten wood on the pool deck, missing tiles in the pools, a door that wouldn’t close in our room."
"Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Full service restaurant with good selection of foods."
"Shows signs of wear, but that is consistent with most things in Vanuatu."
"I was working in Port Vila and staying at Mangoes was absolutely perfect for this. It was a very nice hotel and the staff were outstanding. I would definitely stay here on return visit."

"it was a bit more on the pricey end"
"The location and the landscaping! The multiple swimming pool."
"The reception closes at five pm and opens at eight am. What if there’s an emergency."
"Beautiful. Everyone and everything about the stay was top notch. And the food! Yum. 😊"

"We loved the location of the hotel, the view from our room was spectacular."
"I think the hotel needs a bit of a reno. Some of the woodwork needs replacing."
"Very comfortable chalets, a great restaurant, nice gardens and polls, and super staff make Mangoes a pretty good place to stay in Vanuatu. It's a little on the pricey side we found. In getting around we would flag down a bus and just ask for Mangoes. The drivers know where to take you. Vanuatu has lots of biting flies and i think we got ambushed having dinner in the restaurant by the little buggers. Take precautions. Overall, we had a great stay."

"The location is within walking distance to town - it is hilly so expect a good work out. There are Buses that pass by regularly and are very inexpensive but if you book one through the resort expect to pay 4 times the fee to flag one. The light breakfast included in the room rate was adequate but there are other lovely options available at an additional cost. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and the Pina Colada's were divine. There are 3 pools but we just used the one closest to our unit. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and friendly. We had a couple of massages in the outdoor gazebo which were very relaxing."

"Very nice host, trying to accommodate all my requests. Very authentic stay close to the volcano. The volcano and the red glow are visible from the hut."
Lindy Montanna Lodge
"Malaki and his family were great hosts! Very helpful and friendly. Sorted out lots of things for us with no fuss, even though we booked last minute and had limited planning. We had some good laughs! Good view of volcano, and hear the rumbling! Simple and authentic ni-Van accommodation."
Matthew TannaVistaHomestay
"The cabin was great. It si very basic as it is very remote, but it’s exactly the type of experience we wanted. And we had direct view of the volcano! Be aware that there is no hot water, no charging ports in the cabin, and only one solar light in it. Our host was great in helping us plan everything for our time in Tanna. And the meals were delicious!"
Norbert Castle Tree House And Bungalow
"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . Ps look after Max well we will return ."
