"It’s a gorgeous property. It’s as if somebody randomly airdropped a Tuscan estate onto a random South African plot of land. It’s a pity I visited in winter but I know how gorgeous it is in summer once the rain’s come in and the river’s in full flow. The staff, true to South African hospitality was wonderful! The front desk, HILARIOUS! So helpful, so efficient. Wonderful restaurant and delicious food with polite and accommodating waitstaff."
"The toilet and showers. They are so out of place and don’t fit in with the aesthetic of the rest of the room. It’s as if they ran out of budget and decided that camp dorm showers would suffice. Dear management/owner, PLEASE update. It takes away so much from the gorgeous room. Maybe also update the TV placement for room 2. Either mount it on the wall or change its position relative to the beds. I think upgrading the TVs themselves to smart TVs that offer Netflix or other streaming services would elevate the experience."

"The Hotel is absolutely stunning, I loved the Tuscany feel. The staff offers exceptional service and go above and beyond to make each guest happy. We enjoyed the formal Valentines day dinner, everything was beautifuly layed out, the band was amazing and the 3-course was delicious."

"Really enjoyed the whole Italian style. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. We walked a little way down to one of the pools where chairs and tables were set out. The place is known for its functions, so we couldn't sit at the bar due to a private function and were referred to the Cielo Cafe. There we enjoyed delicious cocktails under the trees. Their drinks list is extensive. The food was incredibly delicious, as was the breakfast the next morning."
