"This a great getaway on a working farm at the bottom of Bainskloof Pass. It is quiet but also centrally located, making easy access to adventures up Bainskloof or in Tulbagh, Ceres and environs"

"The location is perfect for a spot of relaxation. Enjoyed the fishing spot, swimming in the river, the hot tub is brilliant."
"No air-conditioning in the rooms. It was stupid hot in summer and circulating warm air with a room fan didnt help. An air-con will be a good investment"
"I did not make use of the breakfast facility ..no problem with that but loved every moment of my stay,"
"That my time there was too short."
"We loved the location on the river. It's peaceful and quiet. The deck overlooking the river is a great outdoor space. We braaied and kept the fire going for a beautiful nighttime atmosphere. The cabin is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. A canoe is provided. There's a guest folder with lots of information about the cabin and what to do locally."

"As close to the river as you can get which allowed us to each do our own thing, whether it was fishing, swimming in the river, reading a book on the deck or in the Kolkol pool but still be able to have a conversation and spend time together. We had homemade blueberry cheesecake at the coffee shop on the premises, went for gin tasting - also on the farm at Monks and took a short drive out to visit Adene’s flower farm just outside Wolseley."

"I've been to quite a few self catering places this year and nothing compares to River Edge. The finer details, like arriving and the hot tub is already warm, welcome gin and tonic with a lemon, enough towels for bathing and swimming. Air fryer. Fire lighters, filter coffee.... to name a few It was the best office to work at during our mid week stay. Will recommend to families and couples"

"Fantastic views, huge cabins and feels very private. The terrace, built in braii and wood fired hot tub made it very special and comfortable. The accommodation itself is very spacious and our family of four fitted very comfortably. The setting is beautiful and extremely well kept. Very close to Wilderness town and gorgeous beaches, but nice to retire to the woodland at the end of a day. The family who run it are so friendly and welcoming, we would highly recommend!"

Denise Le Must Residence
"We booked here on the spur of the moment, and it did not disappoint. Our favorite part of the night we spend here was the game drive and "bush bar" and the amazing dinner overlooking the lodge pool. The food is out of this world! Each dinner guest gets there own waiter and they are well trained and attentive. The room was luxurious, and the overall decor very tasteful. We loved all the "African" touches, sculptures, walkways and art. We are so glad we took a chance to visit and would do it again."
