"We felt very lucky to have Lucia and Rodrigo as hosts for our stay in El Chalten. From their expertise in weather forecasts and hike recommendations, to sending us info about local live music, it was wonderful to stay at a place run by locals who are integrated into the community. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was filling, and we could see Fitz Roy from our bedroom window. Our favorite stay during a long Patagonia trip."

"Understandably, Lucia and Rodrigo cannot be there all day, so on our check-out day we needed a place to store our bags because we had a late bus and couldn't keep them at Mermoz. Rodrigo thankfully recommended bag storage at the bus station, so we did that."

"The owner was extremy helpful and friendly. Gave lot of advices that made our hikes and stay better . We had to leave early before breakfast time but he prepared us a bag breakfast. The facility is close to the trail head of Laguna de tore. I would stay with them again"

"The staff were so nice and the breakfast they made was delicious, with an omelette and yogurt and fruit. The rooms were clean and the shared bathroom was no issue. It’s on a quieter street off the main area but very close to walk everywhere."

"Our host Lucia was wonderful. She patiently answered all our questions and had great advice for restaurants and hikes. Everything was lovely and her homemade breakfast was terrific. Very highly recommend!!"

"MERMOZ was a fantastic place to stay in El Chalten. Lucia was incredibly nice and helpful, and she helped make our stay perfect. The rooms were comfortable and always clean. Breakfast was quite good (all made by Lucia!), and the town itself is absolutely wonderful. We were there for Christmas and Lucia helped us find places that would be open for dinner. It’s close to all the trails (as all accommodations in el chalten are) and a nice little spot. Overall a truly fantastic gem in el chalten!"
