Hemus Hotel Sofia

"I often use Hemus for short stays in Sofia. Good location, shoppiing nearby, good breakfast."

"Just a few things need to be improved: old and inconvenient bedding, old tiny curtain shower, bad ventilation. I already wrote before: please change bedding to fitted sheets!"

"Nice views from window if you stay on top floor and comfortable bed the bed size bit small for double but it’s ok WiFi was good enough and smart TV provided YouTube"

"The room was really clean and comfortable. Bigger than expected and well layed out. The hotel is in a key location right next to the metro as well as a shopping mall with a supermarket. Next to it are also good and reasonably priced restaurants. The staff was super friendly and communicated well in English. We totally loved our stay and would look forward to stay again at Hotel Hemus"

"Perfect location - just next to the metro and a mall. Everything was neat and clean. There's tea & coffee appliance in the room which is great!"

"The hotel is very central, it is in a residential area and quiet. There is a big mall opposite with shops and cafes. The metro station is just outside the hotel and very cheap, with a connection directly to the airport. I only booked the room, as there are lots of options for food around, with cheap traditional breakfast options on the go from the bakery in the tunnel of the metro station. The view of the mountains in the background is stunning and it’s a lovely walk over the pedestrian bridge to the palace of culture, and from there to all the tourist attractions. The VIP room was very big and clean, although a bit Spartan looking. It had a big bathroom with nice toiletries and a big entrance hall. The room had nice big windows, one could be opened."

"The bathroom had a shower over the bathtub and when using sprayed out onto the floor. There was a half length of Perspex, but nevertheless the floor got drenched on the other half. The VIP wing of the hotel is like an ad on, which means the lifts are in the old part and to get to the VIP wing was 3 steps down onto the corridor. This might be inconvenient with heavy luggage."

"Old locks, heavy keys. Should be replaced to electronic ones. Bar did not work at evenings. No currency exchange. Bed sheets were not comphy, like from 19th century. Must be fitted sheets already. Otherwise its not smooth on bed surface. And, finally, shower curtain was short, was about 10 inches gap to the floor and the floor was always wet."

"An excellent choice – the hotel is close to the city center, next to a lovely park, and right in front of a subway station. My room was huge and fully equipped. The breakfast menu was very good. If I return to Sofia, I'll surely stay here again!"

"During my first night the aircon wasn't working properly. They said they couldn't repair it because it was the weekend, but moved me to another (even bigger) room where it worked very well."

"Friendly staff, beautiful view from 14th floor. Comfortable location, there is a metro station in front of the hotel. There is 1 metro station or about 10 minutes by foot from the central Vitosha boulevard. There is a shopping mall (Park Center) near the hotel and a very big one more (Paradise Center), 10 minutes by metro to the south."

"Shower cabin is rather tight. No lamp on the ceiling, so not enough light in the room in the evening even if all available lights are switched on."
