"We could look out over the ocean every day from our room, from the front deck and from the rooftop deck. It was central to the town of Hopkins which made it easy to walk to restaurants and activities in both directions It was nice and quiet even with the beach bar below"

"Our place at Buttonwood was like a small apartment in town. There were 3 of us so we appreciated the extra space. We liked being in town and for a short stay feeling like part of a community. It's priced less and a good value."

"The friendly staff at Coconut Row who managed Buttonwood Belize were helpful, patient, and accommodating. The food at the Coconut Husk restaurant was delicious. The rooms were clean, very well equipped, and appointed. The excursion to the Mayan site was well orchestrated. The town of Hopkins offers a lovely glimpse onto the local Belizean culture."

"The service was awesome. All the staff was pleasant and gave us all the recommendations we needed to enjoy Garifuna Settlement Day. The owner was also very welcoming and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The food at the restaurant which is located at their sister location Coconut Row was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. You also have access to the pool at Coconut Row. The location is perfect right in the center of the downtown area. We were travelling during a national holiday so it was a bit noisy during all the festivities, but hearing all the drumming and experiencing the Garifuna culture was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is central to everything within a short walk or golf cart ride you can get to most places. You also has direct beach access from your room."

"I liked the proximity to the beach, the Garífuna drumming in the evening (from the excellent restaurant next door), and the excellent views from our balcony and the roof deck. The food at the Coconut Husk restaurant was varied and delicious."

"It would have been helpful to have an extra set of towels for the bathroom. It’s very humid in Belize and our towels wouldn’t dry."

"Buttonwood was a very pleasant surprise, everything was exceptional! Every one of the staff was so pleasant and concerned that we were comfortable and having a good time. My studio kitchenette was perfect and I loved being able to make coffee in the morning. I would definitely stay here again."

"You can’t beat the location: right in the heart of small town, 50 m from the beach. Just perfect! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible: from booking the tours to getting butter for your fussy eater, from surprise welcome drinks to fresh beach towels. You have the opportunity to relax by the beach or hang out by the pool, or go the rooftop terrace and enjoy the sunrise. Locals in nearby restaurants will make you feel welcome. We have booked all our tours through the property and they were absolutely fantastic and well organized."

"The bedrooms in 2 bedroom apartment were a bit too small. The kitchen would benefit from adding small containers with salt/ pepper and tea/ sugar."

"We had a great stay at the Buttonwood Belize. Our room was very comfortable and looked right out on the beach, and we loved using the hammocks on the porch. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the activities that were organized by Coconut Row, like the snorkeling tour and the bioluminescence tour."
