"We absolutely loved our stay at Avery House! It is a stunning historical property that is kept in beautiful condition. Despite being on a main road, our room was a quiet sanctuary—big, clean, and offering a lovely view. The breakfast here is next-level—honestly worthy of Michelin stars. We looked forward to it every morning, enjoying a new and flavorful menu each day. The location is super convenient (walking distance to everything), but the hosts really make the place shine. They were so kind and helpful. We arrived without a solid plan, and they gave us excellent tips on local events and things to do. We can't wait to return!"

"The location couldn’t be more perfect—centrally located and yet a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of commercial Stratford. Amanda and John are lovely hosts, gifted at anticipating needs. John’s breakfasts are artful and delicious! The house has been lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, with comfortable spaces to relax and eye-catching art. Our room was airy and welcoming. The deck and the old lilac blooming outside our window were special treats."

"The location of the property is excellent for viewing the Aurora Borealis as it is located on the shore of Great Slave Lake which provides ample open space when the lake is frozen in the winter for a great viewing experience. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and well heated, a plus for a winter visit like ours.. Ben, the substitute on-site manager was extremely helpful during our stay. Yellowknife is a wonderful small town to visit and enjoy during the winter"
