"Spotless, organized, comfortable hostel with amazingly equipped kitchen. The nicest hostel we have ever stayed in."
"The rates are not hostel level. However, compared to other Vancouver Island accommodations, the bed/room rates were exceptionally reasonable."
"It was nice cool despite heat. Location perfect, staff friendly and very clean!"
"Beds were a bit on the hard side and rooms a little small but overall it was great. A freezer would be great if you need ice"
"Excellent location in centre of town and close to the trails. Great staff and super clean."

"Old restored building on the main street of Cumberland. Super clean shower & bathrooms, modern well equipped and well organized kitchen. Friendly, considerate guests. Loved the space. Just a hop away from swimming in and walking around Comax Lake in the afternoon. A great place to overnight, or stay for a few days to explore the area. Comfortable bed."
"Room (a double) was a bit hot on a warm evening in July, but the ceiling fan in my double room really helped. Not sure if there are fans in every room."
"Great location and clean with lots of communal space. Great to be able to use the bike room to assemble and disassemble bikes."
"Room was a little small for two. Will get larger room next time."
"Great staff with clean facilities and great common room. Ideal location to ride the trails and on site bike maintenance tools."

"The Riding Fool, located in an old building, has retained its quaintness and sense of historical charm. The facilities, including the shared kitchen and the bathrooms were immaculate. Our room was extremely comfortable. If we find ourselves in Cumberland again we will definitely stay here!"

"Lovely place for a stay. I spent just one night but was perfect. The room was cozy and the mattress really comfortable, on the firm side (just what I needed). Shared bathrooms are absolutely clean. There is a community kitchen which I did not use but great to know I could have. Check-in was super easy and independent which I appreciated because I arrived very late at night."
"I just missed a hair dryer but the place was overall great."

"It was great I loved that it was walking distance to dollarama for snacks for the kids"
"The location of the property is excellent for viewing the Aurora Borealis as it is located on the shore of Great Slave Lake which provides ample open space when the lake is frozen in the winter for a great viewing experience. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and well heated, a plus for a winter visit like ours.. Ben, the substitute on-site manager was extremely helpful during our stay. Yellowknife is a wonderful small town to visit and enjoy during the winter"
