"Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel taken care of. Excellent service, amazing views, cozy atmosphere. I am definitely looking to get back in the future! I would recommend this place to anyone who can rent a car."

Wifi was slow, but that is basically the biggest complain. It's nothing. We weren't there for WIFI anyway.

"A wonderful place for us to walk from the door, we did 62 miles in 6 days. The pool and location is stunning. Total privacy and if you like birds and walking it’s spot on. We got our cupra estate up the track nada problemo. We would struggle to find somewhere so beautiful and special as this. Lovely BBQ area. We saw golden orioles and Hoopoes from the balcony. A brilliant week away and we loved walking in the hills and on the rambla into Albanchez for lunch. Aguilas for a day is always ace too if you want the beach."

"The place was beautiful and clean and exactly as described. It was a lovely stay. The view was amazing and the location was practical, close enough to walk on foot to the city center. But also far enough to be quiet and calm. The staff "Khalid" was pleasant and polite and very helpful."

The only downside was the staff "Ahmed" who was unpleasant and rude and when I told him he is being impolite he didn't even apologize and got worse. Thankfully Khaled was there to deal with instead. I would recommend guests to deal with him directly.

"What we liked especially was the ease of communication with the host, who was very nice, responsive, and easygoing! We were very comfortable and slept like babies!"

The only thing that might improve the overall experience is the potential availability of the key for each person, for us it was nevertheless very easy to navigate and the host provided us with extra keys once he learned that we are on different schedules even though we are accomodated together :)

"Jacqui is a great host. The location is excellent for discovering all the beaches, be it North or South. The place is quiet, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The dogs are super cute too - especially the zfg older one :)"

Nothing to dislike.

"Very beautiful place to stay in nature. It has most things one need for a short stay. It’s very good for its price. Also clean nice towels and sheets available."

There is no shampo and hand wash there.

"Peaceful, tranquil and only a few minutes walk from one of the world's best beaches. If you're looking at getting back to nature then this is the place."

"Jane is a great hostess. Great location to see various Catlins sights. Very close to Owaka which is one of few places in the Catlins that has a grocery store. A nice breakfast was provided. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Hot plate, microwave, air fryer and electric frying pan. Comfortable bed and both inside and outside sitting areas."

"Gute Ausstattung, wunderbare Sicht auf die umgebenden Wiesen und Berge. Sehr freundliche Besitzer mit ihrem lieben Hund Maya. Grosser eingezäunter Garten mit Zitrusfrüchten. Super Wifi und Fernseher. Sicherer Parkplatz."

"The location is fantastic with ample parking and great facilities. Being able to use the spa was a great additiona and the staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help in all cases with additional linen etc."

The chalet could have been a little cleaner on arrival and the utensils are quite sparse when travelling as 2 families.

It is not easy to communicate with the owners, English is a bit of a problem... The kitchen space is quite limitated.

"Vue du bungalow sur montagne, environnement verdoyant et exotique, cuisine extérieure avec café et thé, propriétaire réactif, séjour vraiment insolite et dépaysant, emplacement central sur le nord de l'île même si c'est un peu isolé."

Logement pas facile à trouver de nuit; pas de savon pour la douche.

"Clean and secure location. Easy to access within Walking distance of the CBD."

Lousy wi-fi. Doors are hard to lock. Noise from motorbikes.

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

"Very nice accommodation. Comfortable, clean with all needed amenities and more! The swimming pool is a pleasure and the view on the palm trees, a real treat. The place is very secure, and perfectly located being very close to the city center on one side and restaurants and bars on the other side (few minutes walk).."

"Le cadre... on ne s'attend pas du tout à être dans un havre de paix... vue l'adresse ou se situe l'hébergement. Une belle surprise !!!"

Le petit chemin qui mène jusqu'à l'hébergement est un peu difficile à emprunter. Surtout avec les bagages.
