"We had a delightful stay at the Ardea Resort. It's a small place, probably fewer than ten rooms all clustered around the pool. The location is fabulous; there's a 3 minute short cut that takes you out to the canal and the market. The cultural center (Amphawa Chaipattana Nuruk) (which I highly recommend) is only a few minutes from there. What made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff, who were incredibly attentive and helpful. They gave us free transport to the train station in Maekhlong (we asked them to get us a taxi), a fifteen minute drive. Then, as we were waiting for the train, one of the staff came all the way back to give us the sunglasses our friend had left in his the room. This was another trip for them, plus they managed to find us in the insane crowd at the station. We were incredibly impressed. Other high points: lovely breakfast (plus snacks), clean and refreshing pool, and a scent of jasmine in the air."

"Our room was a bit small, so there was no side table next to the bed. I found that a bit inconvenient. I also found the shower temperature hard to control. Otherwise, though, everything was great."

"The location is great. The room is very basic, as advertized, but it was clean. The highlight is that they have a very nice communal area with tables and chairs that overlooks the river, so even with a small room, you can enjoy a large area. Very quiet at night."
Negative point:
"No screens on the windows, no top sheet on the bed, only a blanket to share between the two of us. Breakfast was minimal, cold, oily noodles with some sort of pork on top, left for you on the desk in a plastic box for you to eat whenever -"
