"Amazing spot overlooking a lake, a beautiful old hotel but well maintained and kept up to date inside. The staff were friendly and the room a decent size with big bathroom and a shared balcony."

The food was OK, Norway isn't noted for it's food and this was as you'd expect. Not bad, but not amazing either. Breakfast was a similar affair, OK, but nothing special.

"A huge campsite with a few activities for kids. Nestled in some beautiful scenery right next to a wonderful walk around a lake that’ll take your breath away, we’d definitely come back here."

The location is what it is and I didn’t necessarily dislike it but just be aware that you’re a good distance from most places you’re likely to want to see in Oslo. Download the Ruter app for public transport and you’re good to go - literally! There is a bus stop directly outside the camp site from where you can access the whole of Oslo.

"If you want to go crosscountry skiing, it's perfect located. The sauna is great, the home in general very comfortable with a great view to watch the sunrise and sunset. Very well equipped kitchen, everything to our flavour. Highly recommended!"

"The reception is very responsive to enquiries made online and answered all our questions almost instantly. The facilities are as shown in the photos and the kitchen has salt, pepper and cooking oil which came in handy. Very central location in the small town of Hamnøy. We drove and everything is reachable within minutes' drive."

One of the bedrooms was tiny and there is no room to open your suitcase inside the room. There is only one charging spot for overnight charging so remember to book in advance when you arrive.
