"This is an interesting location...a former grade school, the owners are converting the original structure into a hotel. It is a work in process, and a unique property. The large room has simple yet comfortable beds. At night, total darkness and silence. The thoughtful and hearty breakfast, ( buns/bread/egg, yogurt, assorted mea spreads, orange juice, coffee...) The vintage American rock on the radio. The host is nice and knowledgeable. The antique Swedish prints, the former teachers, the TV area. Get dinner at early/stop at store early...if not you will have dinner at the Circle K :)"

I liked the steep drive down into the valley and equally steep drive back up to the school. But glad it wasn't snowing. I also did not know that it was a former school that was being renovated into a hotel. As such, it was not what I expected. However, after a good night's sleep and a really good breakfast. Accompanied by vintage rock songs on the radio which I had not heard for many years. Conversation with the owner. Took many pictures of the vintage art and photos...I think this was a good Norwegian experience.

"We really enjoyed our stay. The beach in front of the hotel was actually not too crowded with boats and much less people compared to our right and left. Rooms are like shown on the pictures, good value for money. Before 10/11am and after 5pm the day visitors leave and the place gets super quiet. This is the time to enjoy a run on the beach, the nice breakfast & coffee in the morning, and in the evening the sunset and a relaxed dinner."

"A great great great thank you to Jolie, Gerard, Pierrot, Helen, Chris, Frédéric and all the staff for the amazing family like time I spent there. They treated me like family and I really enjoyed it. They provide a boat and car ride for you for transfers to and from Hell-ville. I really liked the Lokobe Reserve. The rooms are great and spacious, lemurs come up to your bedroom door. Great mini hike to a tide beach, that appears or is submerged depending on sea level. Very very good for families and very safe for solo female Travellers."

A little far from things but not really a big disadvantage as it allows peace and quiet.

"It was very uncomplicated to get the keys. Plenty of parking nearby. The bathroom was spacious, the location was clean. The building has old roots and the main building was a makeshift hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, which added to the charm."

"The breakfast is personalized instead of a buffet. I didn't even have to request it. Soon after I sat at a table I was served by an ample sort of food. Local fruits, ham, cheeze, and more. I tried several kinds of brewed tea. For those that love lemon, I suggest to try the Chalela tea :). The location is slightly away from the city center, about 5 minutes from car. This both gave me a calm area for sleep and relaxation, and made it quick to get there whenever I needed, which suited my needs perfectly."

The location of the stay is very close to the Metro station and you can go to the old city in 30 minutes. "Staying at this family-run hotel in Wadi Rum was a truly special experience. The owners' hospitality makes us feel instantly welcome. Our room was surprisingly spacious, a real treat considering the stunning desert landscape surrounding us. Waking up to that breathtaking sunrise view was an absolute highlight! Plus, the host organized a fantastic program that really allowed us to immerse ourselves in the magic of Wadi Rum. And let's not forget the dinner! The Beduin-style meal was absolutely delicious, a real taste of local flavors that perfectly complemented our desert adventure. The owner truly went above and beyond by organizing a fantastic program for us in the desert. It was a real highlight of our stay and a wonderful way to experience the beauty and culture of Wadi Rum."

While our stay had many highlights, it's worth noting that the hotel appears to still be under development. We observed some buildings that seemed to be in the early stages of construction and looked unfinished. Additionally, we encountered some water on the bathroom floor, which was a bit inconvenient.

Breakfast was ok but not special, and the location doesnt really allow you to walk to a restaurant or a shop because its up the hill in a small village that doesnt have much, you'll always need a car.

"Very nice place, the host was super-attentive and friendly, provides help and information for everything you need. You know some places take insta-care of their guests just by one look - this is one of those. Clean and comfy, complementary water/coffee, AC, Netflix.. everything you need. The best pizza in Skopje is in fact right next to the apartment in the bar called 'Groovelyn', which is also a must visit."
