"Beautiful setting, quite a Novel place to stay. The breakfast was good and the staff were really good!"

The WiFi was not great at all, no WiFi in the rooms at all. The bar/restaurant in the evening was closed very early, with no facility to make a drink, not even drinking water in the room. If you do not have a car, I would not recommend staying here.

"Beautiful room, clean with the possibility of heat when it is cold outside during the night. Easy to access. Nice big parking place. The most important thing was that we were able to stay with our dogs. Also, there is a big clean garden to walk around.. There is a living room on the first floor with TV (if you want to watch it). No TV in the room."

"Old school gem with friendly staff, delicious food and comfortable rooms. Underfloor heating was a bonus as it was winter. Lovely lounge with fireplace and very comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing. Beautiful setting and peaceful."

"It was very uncomplicated to get the keys. Plenty of parking nearby. The bathroom was spacious, the location was clean. The building has old roots and the main building was a makeshift hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, which added to the charm."

"We celebrated a birthday here and the owner and staff were absolutely lovely, joining in making the evening a memorable one. Rooms were comfortable, clean and the showers were great. Food was delicious. It is a peaceful place which felt like a little gem off the beaten track."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The beach in front of the hotel was actually not too crowded with boats and much less people compared to our right and left. Rooms are like shown on the pictures, good value for money. Before 10/11am and after 5pm the day visitors leave and the place gets super quiet. This is the time to enjoy a run on the beach, the nice breakfast & coffee in the morning, and in the evening the sunset and a relaxed dinner."

"Linda was very flexible and helpful - accommodating both late check in and early check out. The location is convenient for takinh the train to Colombo and visiting the Fort area."

The room was not fancy but sufficient for 1 or 2 nights. Galle's heat and humidity combined with only fan made it uncomfortablr to sleep.

"Justin was a very helpful and attentive host. He arranged for me to go see a voodoo ceremony, which was really cool. He also helped arrange trusted motorcycle taxis, which helped me a lot. He was always making sure I was happy and had all I needed. Also, the food was delicious and I slept really well."

"I like comunication. In apartment is really everything what I need (I cooked everyday). Everything here was clean. Big supermarket Super Food plaza is 10 minutes by walk. Eagle beach is 25 minutes by walk."

"A great great great thank you to Jolie, Gerard, Pierrot, Helen, Chris, Frédéric and all the staff for the amazing family like time I spent there. They treated me like family and I really enjoyed it. They provide a boat and car ride for you for transfers to and from Hell-ville. I really liked the Lokobe Reserve. The rooms are great and spacious, lemurs come up to your bedroom door. Great mini hike to a tide beach, that appears or is submerged depending on sea level. Very very good for families and very safe for solo female Travellers."

A little far from things but not really a big disadvantage as it allows peace and quiet.

"It's a lovely and very cozy place wirh very good food from Maria, the Chef. Karin, the owner, ist always there to help you. Especially in posh resort Vichayito it's a place that makes you feel welcome and is down-to-earth. There is a different delicious Menu del Dia every day."

"Great value for money. If you intend to stay at the university, this hotel has everything one needs and is in close walking distance. Also, the rooms are tidy, and the staff is very friendly."

The reception was almost never occupied, and the person on the indicated phone number did not speak English. So checking in and paying was a bit tricky. Internet is a bit slow for working, but OK. Also, mind that you may need to bring your own shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.

"Perfect stay! Very clean and cozy, and the most amazig view over the mountains, you can even see the church! Great value for a very low price. Amazing!"

"A nice hotel to stay overnight when you are visiting Valaste waterfalls. Location is very close to the waterfalls. Room was neat and towels were provided. Toilet and shower were shared and was also neat and clean. There is also kitchen to cook food, make coffee and microwave your food and also nice living room. Make sure to buy groceries from Jõhvi before coming here as there are no supermarkets nearby. Also there is nice cafe nearby where you can have coffee and food. There is also parking space in front of hotel. Overall a nice stay and can recommend. Can recommend this place if you plan to stay here."

Internet was not available because they forgot to turn it ON. Since this is off season I can understand it. Also it would have been nice to have some coffee powder/beans available to make coffee.

The hallways reeked of cigarret smoke and there's a gang of teenagers that congregate in back of the hotel late night... Convenient walking distance to old town, grocery and drug stores...
