"Located in town for easy access to restaurants. The rooms were funcos just as the pictures show and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were great, communicated well, organized our hike up the volcano and even prepared an early breakfast for us."

"The hosts were super helpful, and friendly. João is also a mountain guide, & speaks Portuguese, English & French..The location is perfect, right in the village, at the start of the hiking trail to the pico. Rooms are clean and very comfortable with some artistic touches. Good breakfast."

"They don't provide soaps or shampoos in the bathroom (only liquid hand soap), so be sure to bring your own."

"A perfectly comfortable room, with great, relaxed, generous and friendly service, in a perfect location for exploring the volcanic top of Fogo. An extra special recommendation to Manuel, recommended as our guide to summit Pico, by Léa at Eco Fundo. He was knowledgeable, patient, good humored, professional, and very generously kind. We had a great stay here. Great hot shower too!"

"One aspect to build on could be the breakfast. It would be great to include a little more variety... Some yoghurt, fresh bread, fruit... Not bad at all, but room to grow."

"The best customer service! The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him. Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room. Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!"

"Lovely room called a funco. Amazing view of volcano and design on the ceiling. Breakfast was very different each day and was very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Organised cars and guide to take us up volcano."
