"Nice, comfortable, simple, clean place. Nothing fancy but totally comfortable and good value. Friendly, helpful staff, who also operate a tour desk right next door and can book any Galapagos adventure you want. Nice rooftop deck and decent kitchen for guests. Filtered drinking water provided. Fantastic location just a block from the water and ferry departure area and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Enjoyed my stay. Thank you"

"Close to everything, lovely staff when they were at the desk, but they did always arrive once search for. Knight no hot water. That’s the only thing that wasn’t OK. The top floor area is lovely."

"I stayed in both a private room and dorm room at this property. The private room was large and clean as was the dorm. The location is good - close the ferry port and restaurants. The property felt secure as you were only able to enter with a key in the evenings. The staff helped me book ferry’s. The showers were hot and powerful."

"There was a lot of noise from outside when staying in both rooms. It is not really a social place if you are travelling by yourself."

"Brian at Hostel Gardner is simply amazing :) I have a knee injury so climbing stairs is tough, so he helped me first by helping to try find a single room and when that was not possible tried to offer me a refund or to give me the possibility of a first floor so I don’t have to climb to third or fourth floor. Very centrally located with everything being a walk away. The tour agency opposite the hostel is fantastic and gives you the best prices in town for tours. Plus the hostel is amazing with its facilities (dorm bed/ comforter/ ac and bathroom with hot water) and the lounge area on fourth floor with deck seats and a fully equipped kitchen is just the icing on the cake!"

"It's everything you need from a hostel :) it's central and close to everything you need or want . The rooms are clean, air-conditioned and quiet at night so you can get to sleep easy for those early morning starts . There is a lovely rooftop terrace to relax and unwind after a big day exploring, but best of all is the owner and staff 😊 so friendly and accommodating to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible , cannot thank them enough ."

"Very smooth check in. Large clean room. Good a/c and hot water, ok internet. Convenient location close to port for tours and inter-island ferries. The young man at the reception Emerson, was very helpful in making tour reservations and arranging car+driver for private tours."
