The High Street is less than a mile away, and Hastings Rail Station is a 10-minute walk from the building. The bedlodgings at Alexanders Establishment are warm and tastefully-designed, and many have outlooks of the sea. Each one has a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. "Comfortable bed, great view over the sea, friendly staff, no noise from other guests; quite private. Despite what the website says, there is cheap on-street parking very close by."
"Some traffic noise which might bother a light sleeper. No lift - wasn't a problem for us but could be for others (our room was on 3rd floor). Room was hot after a day's sunshine (it's south facing)"
"The room was very clean, all appliances were new and in good state. Wonderful sea view from the window and the balcony. Both the beach and the city centre are just 1 minute walk from the hotel. Free early check-in since 12:00 on Saturday was very helpful, as it was convenient to come earlier and go siteseeing after checking in."

"I had a superb view of the sea and the location meant very easy access to st leonards, town centre and old town. The room was quiet. Plus, the lady on duty was also very patient and helpful."
"Perhaps linking the tv's to the wifi as I cant watch terrestrial broadcasts. There was a mysterious strong smell (possibly another visitor) first thing in the morning, but it didn't linger thankfully."
"Hotel is literally on the beach front which was really nice. Staff were really nice. House keeping was fabulous. That lady is lovely. Was offered fresh towels everyday. "Great breakfast, very tasty! Nice bar + excellent Gurkha restaurant. Plenty of parking, room clean & comfortable."

"For Robert Burns fans, this is a must stop. And lots of Burns commemorations in the lounge area. I happened to get the room they said Burns stayed in, but they had no portrait, plaque, or other acknowledgement of the fact. I was delighted to be there, but disappointed that there was nothing in that room to celebrate the multiple stays by Scotland's most historic VIP."
Avis de Glenn Selkirk Arms Hotel
"It is a bit quirky . Situation in castle grounds is unusual. Staff were good"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel over the past three days and would highly recommend it. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The food was also excellent, with a good variety of options and high quality throughout our stay. Breakfast was particularly enjoyable and well-organised. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location, very convenient and well-connected, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Most importantly, the staff were outstanding. Everyone was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed."
