"Nothing to note. Everything was as described"
"This is such a fabulous hotel. Much of it is 15th Century, with beams, sloping floors, crooked corridors and so, so much character. The back of it has a direct view of the Cathedral. It is such a fabulous place. Also great location, great staff, and the breakfast was basic but good. Can't recommend highly enough."

"Absolutely delightful old building right by the Cathedral. Staff very helpful and friendly."

"The location is great. Loved the property. It has a lot of character. Floors are uneven though, so I wouldnt book it if you have balance problems. Or at least call before booking. It was so clean. Super impressed. Water available constantly and the staff on site where really professional Would definitely go back"
"We called to rebook the dates. It was too late on booking.com to do that. The person we spoke to was rude to my husband. It made us apprehensive and worried how we would be treated by staff when there. Staff there were lovely. Not sure who the rude lady was."
"It was a perfect location--easily walkable to everything in Canterbury. The space was clean. Staff was very nice. Our mattress was very hard; when I mentioned it to the staff they added a topper and it was much more comfortable."

"Staying in a 500 year old inn that was the home of a famous revolutionary was a fascinating experience. It was by far the oldest room I've ever slept in and I wondered at length as to who had been born, and died in that space. It is next door to Yorkminster, the ancient cathedral of York and a great location all around. The food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious and staff were friendly and efficient. Be prepared for uneven floors and doorways that aren't square, but if to want that, stay in a newer hotel. We loved every minute. Great bar too!"
