"Lovely stay above a local pub, very easy to find, just a short walk from the train station, directly in the city centre. The access to the rooms is through the pub (you can come and go as you please, regardless of the opening hours). The staff is super friendly. The room was clean and cozy and bed was really comfy. Because I was visiting in October, I appreciated the kettle and radiator in the room. Bathroom was bigger than I expected and the shower had a really good pressure (and properly hot water :)). The location is very walkable, the castle is just 2 minutes walk and the Abbey is like 10 mins walk. As a solo female traveler, I felt perfectly safe both in the accommodation and in the town. 10 out of 10, if I'm ever back in Shrewsbury, I'll definitely stay again :)."

"Amazing People, Location, Room, Cask Ale, Bed, & More! The Vaults ideal location right at the old medieval city walls made for perfect access to the curiosities of Shrewsbury. Jason and the rest of the staff were welcoming, with a great sense of merriment and affability. I'd love to go back and stay there for a week or two, to just soak in the life of this ancient town. I really can't think of anything that could have been better. What more can a soul want than excellent cask ales, fine people, and the most charming outdoor beer garden? And the beer garden is three-tiered, no less!"

"Staff were extremely helpful. Fantastic location. Parking is only 3 mins walk from hotel. Station is less than a minute. We went to an 80’s night at The Buttermarket. 2/3 min walk from venue."
"Room was a tad too small. Damp smell whilst walking up to the room, but room itself was fine, just on the small side… TV’s could do with being upgraded to a bigger size…. Would stay here again as excellent location… no noise at all from the bar downstairs"
