Guest reviews for Chez Daniel
"The host Veronica was very attentive and gave great recommendations on restaurants, things to do, and where to go. She even let me choose my room. The property is situated a little far from the center but it’s beautiful and with the nice view of the mountain, well worth it. Also, the bed was the most comfy out of all of the places I’ve stayed."
"I wish the room had a full length mirror. Also, the towels could use a bit of an upgrade."
"Everything!! Fantastic views of the volcanoes, amazing service and breakfast, beautiful and spacious rooms."

"Location was great. A 15-20 min walk from the center of town with amazing volcano views. It was quiet and peaceful, even during semana santa. It felt private, and had beautiful grounds. The room was big and spacious. While there was no AC, keeping the windows open while there allowed for good airflow. There’s also a top portion of the window that can stay open at night. The hosts were fantastic - incredibly friendly and accommodating."

"Got a very spacious room with an amazing view of the volcano. Great location a few blocks from the busier part of town, yet a short walk to the markets and good restaurants. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed breakfast by the lovely garden."

"Very polite, friendly, and helpful staff. Very clear communication every step of the way. The room is huge, and the courtyard has a lovely view of the volcano. Excellent included breakfast with two different breads fresh from the oven. A bit of a walk from the center, but that means that you can actually sleep at night, since it's quiet. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"I stayed for 2 nights in Dec 2024. There is only 4 rooms in this B&B. Rooms were spacious but basic. Breakfast was good. The manager Veronica has very helpful. Very good value for the money."

"Clean, small, private, quiet, simple welcoming, has limited parking."

"I liked the simplicity of the place. The grounds were nice and there were a few different spaces and areas that were very different yet retained an intimate feeling. The view from the upper level was lovely, as well."
"I stayed for three days, and I really enjoyed the eggs and beans that I was offered on the last day with my breakfast. The other two days featured a nice croissant instead, but I personally prefer eggs and beans. Not sure why this wasn’t an option on the first two days. At any rate, I think consistency would be helpful :) The property is a little bit on the margin of Antigua, which may be a positive or negative depending on one’s preferences. I tended to go out for periods and come back for rest, so I did quite a lot of walking. A more centralized location might be helpful if you are back-and-forth a lot with sightseeing. Because it’s somewhat close to one of the busy thoroughfares, there can be some traffic noise. I would recommend using the fan in the room to drown out the sound at night if you are sensitive. Sleep was great when I used the fan! I didn’t get a chance to enquire about why this was the case, but the WiFi had some spotty moments. I assumed this was just the nature of WiFi in Antigua, but the property I stayed at for the subsequent three days had really strong and reliable WiFi. I didn’t purchase a SIM card or other data connection for the trip, so the weak/unavailable WiFi made last-minute planning sessions really frustrating. Hopefully it was just an isolated occurrence!"
"Great breakfast in garden with volcano view, large room and large bathroom. Great communication and attention from owner and staff."
