"Nong is so so sweet and welcoming and really makes an effort to get to know each and every person that passes through the hostel. Everything is super clean and well maintained, nice and quiet area but just a couple of minutes walk from night market, comfortable beds, nice outdoor sitting area. Just a great place and amazing hosts!"

"The property is great for backpackers- air conditioned rooms, a communal kitchen, and a treehouse to hang out in. We ended up staying for four nights (2 before the loop and 2 after) bc we loved it so much, felt like a home for the first time in a while. It is very close to the Mekong river, which has a lot of good and cheap restaurants, and a very pretty place to watch the sunset. nong (the host) is sooo kind and helped us with everything and booked our bus for us. and the best part is she has two super sweet and cute dogs. lots of solo travelers who met and did the loop together also. couldn’t recommend more."

"Note: This is my second (glowing) review for Mabuhay Guest House. As I was waiting for my visa process to complete at the nearby embassy, I kept extending my stay with Ms. Sara. The price, location, and overall value are what initially caught my attention. But what makes staying at Mabuhay really great is the host! Ms. Sara is one of the nicest/most genuine people I've ever met. During my stay, she was able to help me solve numerous travel-related issues. She definitely didn't need to help me, but that's just the type of person she is... And while I'm not particularly social when I travel, it wasn't long before I was hanging out downstairs with Ms Sara and the other guests, with a cold beverage, talking about a wide range of topics. I really hope the best for Ms Sara's business and family. And I genuinely appreciate the hospitality."
"This was an interesting hostel to stay at in a private room that was quiet (thanks to some soundproofing), and my room was cool with a loft bed over an area with a nice desk (I work remotely) and ample closet space. Great location just minutes from the night market and other sights. I spent most of my time here just walking around and exploring the city. Nice breakfast!"
