Ms. Allissya (I assume one of the owners) wasn't too friendly and even rude at times which made our stay uncomfortable at times. All the other employees were very friendly. Also, the shower in our cottage wasn't working properly.

I was particularly impressed with its convenient location, situated in a peaceful and quiet area, which made it perfect for relaxation. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, creating a cozy environment that felt like home. The interior of the hostel was thoughtfully designed, offering a nice blend of comfort and functionality. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ensuring guests felt cared for. "The room was comfortable, and discreet. Felt like a little retreat once you got inside and closed the door. Plenty of food and restaurant options very close by with busy stops about 5 mins away. All in all a great room for seeing the city on your own time. The host also is very prompt with communication and even helped me with some trouble of a left behind item!!"

"I enjoyed the quiet, hilltop location with views of the sea. I loved all the plants, the hammock in front of the cabin and the cabin itself. Very simple set up which I enjoyed."

Zimmer und Spielplatz sehr veraltet Dusche Renovierungsbedürftig leider keine Kochmöglichkeit die Sitzgelegenheiten vor dem Zimmer den ganzen Tag im Schatten es gibt Ruhe Zeiten

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

Don’t be deterred by the 1/2 mile dirt road leading to this gem, it’s worth it!

Some of the service providers attitude especially at the front desk in the kitchen. The lady was not kind at all and she behaved in haughty manner, just to hand over a bill. When I took dinner I asked for the bill with the man but it didn’t come, in the following morning I had to check out. I went to the reception in the morning and said I have a bill. The lady at the reception called to ask for my bill and it didn’t come. I went back in my room to take my luggage then the lady in the kitchen wanted me to handle the bill I couldn’t I had things in all my hands then I asked my daughter to take the bill! I found this attitude really insulting to me. Real lack of respect! Anyway…

Little bit of a walk from the center but is peaceful as a result

"Extremely friendly and helpful owners that made us feel very welcome.🙏🏻 Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing and served in a beautiful location.🙏🏻 We really appreciated being dropped off at the station very early on our last day. Our clothes were beautifully washed. We would be happy to stay here again. Comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony."

Very little really. The set up of the bathroom made it that everything got wet but we didn’t feel it was a problem, especially as there was plenty of warm water at all times and the water pressure was good.

"This trip was planned as-hoc and we didn’t have very high expectations, however Hyena lodge was above and beyond. Absolutely stunning views, clean (clean clean) accommodation, bathrooms and overall territory. The beds were comfortable with beautifully designed blankets and pillows. Each balcony had a nice bench to sit on and jointly amazing views of Lake Mburo. Also we had game drive and had a chance to walk very closely to several giraffes and kids throughly enjoyed it. Overall very memorable stay! Highly recommend!"

We could have fit in the twin room easily with our two teenagers, but unfortunately the booking doesn’t show that option for families. The room is double the size of the standard room with two queen size beds. Actually we all stayed together first night and it was spacious enough. Hence would be good to list this room for four people as well.

"Incredibly unique accommodation and stunning property. The surrounding tea planation provided amazing nature walks and a cool tea tasting and factory tour. The manor was one of the most unique and beautiful places I've ever stayed. We had the whole place to ourselves!"

It would be great if there was an option to pay for lunch and dinner at the property. This way I would avoid the center of the city and the crowd completely 😄

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bertos Lodge. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel so welcome — incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and we slept incredibly well. What really made our stay special was the owner going the extra mile by helping us plan an itinerary for things to do in the area. Thanks to that, we had an amazing time and truly made the most of our visit. We can highly recommend Bertos Lodge and would definitely stay here again!"

"We had a spectacular time staying at the Tsoelike River Lodge in Lesotho! The staff was exceptionally friendly, making sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. They consistently checked in with us to make sure our fires were lit in our cabins, if we needed the room to be freshened up, and if we were enjoying our time. This on top of the stunning mountain views right from your window made for a wonderful stay."
