"The traditional things were awesome! I liked the private pool due to that privacy."

Some of the service providers attitude especially at the front desk in the kitchen. The lady was not kind at all and she behaved in haughty manner, just to hand over a bill. When I took dinner I asked for the bill with the man but it didn’t come, in the following morning I had to check out. I went to the reception in the morning and said I have a bill. The lady at the reception called to ask for my bill and it didn’t come. I went back in my room to take my luggage then the lady in the kitchen wanted me to handle the bill I couldn’t I had things in all my hands then I asked my daughter to take the bill! I found this attitude really insulting to me. Real lack of respect! Anyway…

Everything was fine!

"Comfy rooms, spacious balcony with hammock, beautiful river view from the bed even, lovey staff. And their coffee made with a percolator was great"

What was there not to like?

"Everything was amazing! The location away from the center of the city, the food, the hosts were super polite and nice, the room was clean and cosy."

It would be great if there was an option to pay for lunch and dinner at the property. This way I would avoid the center of the city and the crowd completely 😄

"The friendly staff. When problems arised, like we couldn't turn on the AC, or didn't get water in the shower, they helped us out swiftly."

They didn't clean the room while we were there, but waited until we left. It was only two nights, but anyway, we would have expected to get clean towels at least.

"My sister and I arrived late (maybe 10 PM) after our car broke down. Most of the staff had left for the day. We were shown to our room which had one king bed which wasn't what we ordered. We tried to explain to the worker we wanted two beds. He didn't speak much English but was able to get a hold of the owner who was still on site and he upgraded us to the superior room with two beds for free, which was very nice. The rooms are much more comfortable than most hotels in Madagascar. The property is gorgeous, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed wandering the grounds of the property after a day of exploring Isalo National Park."

Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

I also appreciated and enjoyed the extras of fresh bottled fruit juices, the chance to experience a meal of oil down, the national dish, and a barbecue prepared fresh1 The pool is wonderful.It was also fun to be invited to add some art to the walls of the dining area!!"

Perhaps in the rooms with windows facing the afternoon sun there could be a roll down blind as it got quite hot in the room despite the fan.

"The scenery on top of the high hills is much more beautiful! Afternoon a natural silence and peaceful atmosphere is created. I like it very much. I decided to go again."

Liked everything. But the height of this hill is a bit high so I would suggest that one should not take the elderly.

"The view: wow. Believe me when I say it’s even more stunning in person than in the photos. The pictures don’t do it justice at all. It’s that breathtaking. The room was cozy, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and the location had a nice, peaceful vibe. It was a great and fun stay overall."

The only small downsides: the room could really use a mini fridge to keep water cold during the summer, and a full-length mirror would be a great addition. But aside from that, everything was fantastic.

Sometimes the water didn’t work. There were large black wasps making a nest in the washroom.

Ms. Allissya (I assume one of the owners) wasn't too friendly and even rude at times which made our stay uncomfortable at times. All the other employees were very friendly. Also, the shower in our cottage wasn't working properly.

"Wonderful hosts, a delicious breakfast, a perfect location, a comfortable room, and stunning views - everything about our stay was excellent. Overall, a relaxing and fantastic experience!"

The only small downside were the pillows, which were a bit higher than we’re used to, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise fantastic experience.

"Dar Al Salam Hostel is a charming and exceptionally clean place to stay. I was particularly impressed with its convenient location, situated in a peaceful and quiet area, which made it perfect for relaxation. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ensuring guests felt cared for. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable experience."

"The staff is so friendly! Was really a lovely experience. We only stayed one night to extend on the island , but It was one of our favourite experiences with the owners. Their kindness is so refreshing. The bungalows are basic, the bed is so comfy. It really gives you jungle beach vibes. Also try their coffee, best cappuccino ever. Double shot and the froth is on point. We even ran into the owners in Ranong coming off the slow ferry and they offered us a ride to our hostel. It really just made us so happy! I wish them all the luck with this new project of theirs. They have only really been actively open a total of 5 months!"

A little further from the beach but if you ride a scooter you are fine. 16 minute walk to one beach and the rest are about 40-45 minutes in each direction walking! Food not too far!

"It was a magical place, well thought out, clean and had all the things we needed!"

maybe a nice sign or where to turn before the dirt road street would be nice to know , in case people ever feel lost or even at night when its hard to see.

"The room was comfortable, and discreet. Felt like a little retreat once you got inside and closed the door. Plenty of food and restaurant options very close by with busy stops about 5 mins away. All in all a great room for seeing the city on your own time. The host also is very prompt with communication and even helped me with some trouble of a left behind item!!"

"Everyone there is amazing! Incredible view from all the areas wherever you go, I was teleworking from there, and needed somewhere nice/calm/comfy to work from. Thank you, Sardan, for all the help and care and always checking on me and helping with my plans. The place by the pool is really nice for all the hot days, and they played really nice soft music that uplifted the vibes. The bungalow was gorgeous, too, waking up with a sea view directly from your bed. Perfect for couples or solo travelers. I booked for 2 nights and ended up extending for a full week. Can't wait to come back there. Kabak Beach is like a 30 min hike downstairs , it's very nice and cozy without trashy tourists vibe like Oludeniz."
