"The room was comfortable, and discreet. Felt like a little retreat once you got inside and closed the door. Plenty of food and restaurant options very close by with busy stops about 5 mins away. All in all a great room for seeing the city on your own time. The host also is very prompt with communication and even helped me with some trouble of a left behind item!!"

"The property is private and safe and situated across the street from the ocean and directly on the lagoon. It is serene and the locals fish in the mornings as kids from the neighboring village frolic in the water for fun. The pool is inviting and the breakfast every morning is good. Herman the care taker is the kindest person and a true asset to the team. He made our stay excellent! They provide kayaks and an SUP for enjoyment. The lodges are beautiful!!"

The treehouse has the restroom downstairs and they didn’t turn on the tiki torches or spray inside before we moved over there so the shower and restroom were full of mosquitoes. They don’t have a restaurant for lunch or dinner options available so you must leave the property for food, spa or grocery. The could offer an activity like bonfire or local tours.

Gardens and information signs in the gardens need serious attention.

You only have two breakfast options, and it gets a bit repetitive if you stay more than two nights. You need to rent a motorbike or use pick up apps because you can’t go anywhere walking because it’s in the middle of nowhere.

"The hosts Lilly and Simon are the most wonderful people ever. Kind souls that can make your stay here in Fiji a truly one of a kind experience. Staying at the salt lake lodge didn't feel like a hotel or resort, but instead felt like you got to experience how it would feel to live in a Fijian family. Not only were the people great but the food was extraordinary. They both could be in a Michelin star restaurant with the food they provided. We would also recommend doin LOVO with them, which is a traditional grill on an campfire of which I shared photos of. The location itself for us was also a 10/10 because we love being surrounded in nature, and what ever window you looked out from was the beautiful environment, even from the shower you could see the river. We could not recommend this place more if we wanted to. I hope your experience will be as beautiful as ours"

The only problem we encountered was that the AC in our room was directly pointed at the head of the bed. And it's lower functions for us were still quite cold.

Liked everything. But the height of this hill is a bit high so I would suggest that one should not take the elderly.

"Brand new and very clean location. Everyone has his own terrace - we have a wonderful view on the bay of Culebra. Very calm location. The beach towels provided by the location were just wonderful - I would love to find the same for me! Very reponsive team for our questions. We warmly recommend this place! Of course, you need a car / golf cart."

"We ate evening meals at Salz. I appreciated looking forward to a delicious local meals served to us. There were other rooms and we met other travellers. There was the opportunity for privacy by our room and the opportunity to interact with others. The hosts are lovely, kind and considerate people with whom I enjoyed talking."

To get to anything for excursions or dinner took a little bit of time. Taxis and Ubers were more costly.

"Breakfast was good and dinner even better. The location was perfect and so were the mountain views from our rooms! Hospitality was excellent, the receptionists came with their car to escort us to the hotel and back outside near the police station. Both chefs/waiters assisted us by allowing us to use their mobile phones since we did not have any SIM cards to make calls. At dinner, we were given complimentary dessert and even complimentary delicious ice cream whilst waiting for our taxi."

"Wow! What a gem of a stay! Lovely rooms at a value price. Food and alcohol sold. Plenty toilets and showers. An amazing waterfall next door, which you pass driving in and out of the property. And a 45ºC hot pool. Yes, there is a hot spring pool included that overlooks everthing!!!"

Tough to get to with small car through long gravel road.

There are too many mosquitoes near by the cabin, making it imposible to enjoy being outside.

"I always feel so safe when I stay here. The staff is always available for all your needs. Jennifer even washed our clothes for us. The owner is very professional and always makes sure our stay is comfortable. There is a hugh shopping center right down the street that has everything you could need. The price is great for how big the apartment is."

It is 30 minutes on a very bumpy road from the gate to the national park and we were the only people to pass through each day. This end of the park is forest and scrub so very difficult to see game. There are not many roads in the park and almost no signage.

"I had a great stay. Wandered around and enjoyed the island life. Took a night walk with the hosts who were very friendly and attentive. They picked me up and returned me to the ferry. I was able to use one of their snorkels and mask. The shower was excellent and bed was very comfortable. I had a great stay. Thank you!"

There was construction going on all through the day and doors slamming early in the morning. The construction crew were loud and abrasive. The door slamming has to do with the way the door lock mechanism is set up. The ferry brought me to island very early and wasn't able to check into my room until much later.

"Cozy, immaculate cottage with a great view. Fabulous hosts who were very accommodating. Great location in the middle of Castries and Rodney Bay. Short walk to the beach."

Construction work going on next door but that was not the owners fault.

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.
