Guest reviews for Riad Bab Chems

"We liked everything! Our room was big and was on the top floor. It felt like we had our own private patio! The toilet was separate from the shower which was nice. The bed was huge and super comfortable as well! They made up and cleaned our room everyday. And the riad as a whole was gorgeous! They welcomed us so nicely and we got to choose what time to have breakfast every morning. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back!"

"The ONLY thing was the toilet was a little bit loose, we were definitely cautious while using it. But EVERYTHING else was incredible!"

"We loved that it only took us a few minutes to walk to the middle of everything, but yet the property was a nice quiet escape in just a few doors down a side street. The views from the rooftop were also exceptional. At night you could see the lights from the square and hear all the music and fun, but then it was completely quiet in the room."

"Nothing bad to say about this place"

"Lovely staff with great service, got a nice big breakfast each morning next to an open fireplace which was super cosy and well needed in the cold. The Riad was aesthetically pleasing and you even got to wake up to singing birds"

"It was a bit cold, but that seems to be a common thing in warm places. They're not well isolated for the cold. The toilet was placed in a narrow corner of the bathroom so for those with wider rears you'll feel the walls with your hips"

"The location is very central, it’s right in the middle of all of the action of the Medina. Because of this, it’s a little tricky to locate, but once we did, it was easy to navigate back to. The riad itself is beautiful and the staff were wonderful, serving breakfast at any time requested. I would absolutely stay here again!"

"It was a little tricky to find, so more complete directions would have been appreciated"

"Everything about our stay was absolutely lovely. Amina and Yayah were wonderful, kind, attentive hosts and gave us a lot of advice and information about Marrakech. Located in a cool spot accessible to everything. Everything is beautifully decorated, and the room and bed was luxurious. Best bed I slept in in Morocco. Perfect, relaxing end to my chaotic Morocco visit :)"

"Very beautiful and cozy, it felt like staying at a Moroccan aunty's house. The staff was very friendly and it's a great location to explore the city on foot. Great value for money."

"Overall, we had a wonderful time at Bab Chems! The staff is amazing and incredibly friendly, always ready to help with any request. We had to leave very early on our last day, and they kindly prepared breakfast for us before our departure. I also want to mention the location — it’s perfect, right in the heart of the Medina."

"An absolute gem, every detail was truly stunning. Great value for money, central location, right next to the souks. The mint tea we received upon arrival was devine."

"The only thing we didn't like was that breakfast only included one glass of fresh orange juice, could've drank a liter."

"I definitely recommend this riad. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable, they helped us with arranging transportation from the airport to the riad and vice versa which made everything much easier. The riad is centrally located near the Jemaa el-Fnaa square but still on a quiet street. The terrace of the riad is very nice and it is very pleasant to spend time outside on the terrace. The architecture of the riad and it is decorated tastefully."

"The staff were accommodating and made me feel welcome. Breakfast by the fire was warm and plentiful. This small and quiet riad has traditional decor and it was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the birds singing in the courtyard."

"This stay in the Ziz valley felt extremely authentic and was a perfect way to end our time in this area of Morocco. Great location to stay for flights in and out of Errichidia. Hami and his family were excellent hosts and we loved our time talking, having tea, and enjoying the best tangine we had in Morocco!"

"I needed a place to stay on my way through and this fit the bill. Happy to have stayed there. The staff was especially helpful."

"Quiet location, garbage to store the bicycles. Shared bathroom was clean and close to the room, which had its own sink. Good hot shower. Friendly owners."

"We had a lovely stay with my wife and our two kids. The place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing as a family. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious – fresh, generous, and the best way to start the day with that amazing view and the old village. Highly recommended!"

"I had a wonderful experience in the desert. I stayed in a bivouac room, which was beautiful and comfortable in the middle of nature. Everything was clean, well organized, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Mr. Mubarak and his team were amazing—very kind, welcoming, and hospitable. They really made sure we had a great stay."

"Very generous Breakfast, location is great, quiet and tucked away yet easy walking to the main street. Very friendly and accommodating staff"

"We really enjoyed our stay at “Kasbah du Bout”. The host was very friendly and made sure our needs were met. The Kasbah was very clean and well kept. We experienced a relaxing atmosphere and stay. We recommend staying here when visiting Zagora. Fred K. United States."

"Amazing camp accessible by car. We only had front-wheel drive Dacia, so it was a bit difficult to get there. If you go, lease a 4x4 for sure. We only wanted a day trip on camels, so we arrived by car. There are many camps that you can visit on a multi-day trip on camels deeper in the desert, however, if you only want a day trip on camels and have car, this is a must-visit. Personnel superb, food superb Bathroom facilities better than most hotels, in the tent (available outside of tent as well - they have public bathrooms) They booked a day trip on camels. We wanted to try this limited version before going on a multiple day trip on camels. I suggest telling them that you don't want to spend 4h on the lunch break. It's too long. 2h of break is enough. You go about 2h on camels' backs and then back after lunch. This camp was top 2 experiences we had in morocco. If you want larger and more iconic sand dunes, visit Merzouga. The dunes here are small, yet beautiful"

"Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Delicious dinner."
