Guest reviews for Riad Chamali

"Beautiful riadh with attention to many little details the staff was amazing and so kind. We wish we had more time to relax there!"

"Breakfast was good but could offer some variation or option to add eggs, cheese and some vegetables."

"This riad felt traditional and welcoming and comfortable. Looking back on our trip as a whole, the staff here was exceptional and treated us like family, moreso than other riads we had stayed at. There were lots of common areas to choose from, an outdoor pool, and complimentary breakfast (which was delicious and they served us even when we woke up right as it was supposed to be ending). It took us a few tries to not get lost when walking to/from the riad into town, but it also felt safe and secure. I would definitely stay here again."

"Its location was about a 15-20 minute walk to the big square and most restaurants, which can be quite daunting when you're new to the city and it's 100+ degrees outside."

Daniela - 23/02/2024 08:21:54

"Great experience. The restaurant on site is very convenient and serves delicious meals; breakfast was lovely. The room was clean, spacious and aesthetically pleasing. I loved the checkered floors and blue doors. Staff was helpful and friendly."

"Aucun."

"The room was great and exactly like the photos. The staff was helpful and kind despite having to use google translate from English to Arabic or French. Also, good location."

"It is not a quiet hotel. If you’re near the pool area, everything can be heard. At night, cats roam around and can make a lot of noise. Some guests stayed til late near the pool at night. Also during the day, a group of kids thrashed and made a mess around the pool emptying some of the water without any control."

Selay - 20/06/2023 16:52:11

"Traditional humble breakfast on a cozy terrace. The room was super clean, amenities they offer were not so many but of top quality. It's located right at the corner of the medina, so we parked our car on the closest main street and went everywhere on foot. The staff was very friendly, they welcomed us with famous moroccan mint tea on arrival. Overall nice option for its value."

"Cat noises become really disturbing at night, if you have a light sleep like I do you might want to bring some earplugs."

"My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Riad Chamali. It was a 15-minute walk from the crowded and busy Jemaa el-Fnaa, which meant that our area was really quiet and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, and there was enough space for all our luggage (we travelled from Asia to Morocco so our bags were bigger). Breakfast is also provided, which was a bonus. The eating area also doubles as a restaurant in the evenings, and serves really great tajines and salads that are cheaper than some of the restaurants in town. Shoutout to the two receptionists, they were fantastic, especially Sa'ad, who was a really honest chap who returned us our money when he realised we overpaid for something. We really appreciated that."

"The shower pressure could be better and the hot water was a little temperamental."

"The staff are very friendly and helpful The breakfasts are epic! And very authentic Moroccan"

"The location is a bit tricky to find are there are no signs"

Kabucz - 11/01/2026 16:59:02

"The breakfast was delicious. The centre of the city is close. The staff were kind and always ready to help us in anything."

"It could be more furniture in the room to place clothes and other things."

Lisa - 10/01/2026 16:54:13

"Really nice and welcoming staff. The breakfast was also really nice. The Riad itself is beautiful and big, you had enough space to feel privacy."

"Aucun."

Aysha - 25/12/2025 10:09:18

"Gorgeous family room. Spacious although quite dark (to be expected in a riad). Very good location and the room was nice and quiet. Lots of stairs but staff was wonderful with luggage and general help."

"The family room was in the basement essentially and so it was a bit of a maze. Wifi was patchy and rooms weren’t cleaned properly every day. Breakfast was repetitive and not very healthy, all in all"

"This stay in the Ziz valley felt extremely authentic and was a perfect way to end our time in this area of Morocco. Great location to stay for flights in and out of Errichidia. Hami and his family were excellent hosts and we loved our time talking, having tea, and enjoying the best tangine we had in Morocco!"

"I needed a place to stay on my way through and this fit the bill. Happy to have stayed there. The staff was especially helpful."

"Quiet location, garbage to store the bicycles. Shared bathroom was clean and close to the room, which had its own sink. Good hot shower. Friendly owners."

"We had a lovely stay with my wife and our two kids. The place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing as a family. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious – fresh, generous, and the best way to start the day with that amazing view and the old village. Highly recommended!"

"I had a wonderful experience in the desert. I stayed in a bivouac room, which was beautiful and comfortable in the middle of nature. Everything was clean, well organized, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Mr. Mubarak and his team were amazing—very kind, welcoming, and hospitable. They really made sure we had a great stay."

"Very generous Breakfast, location is great, quiet and tucked away yet easy walking to the main street. Very friendly and accommodating staff"

"We really enjoyed our stay at “Kasbah du Bout”. The host was very friendly and made sure our needs were met. The Kasbah was very clean and well kept. We experienced a relaxing atmosphere and stay. We recommend staying here when visiting Zagora. Fred K. United States."

"Amazing camp accessible by car. We only had front-wheel drive Dacia, so it was a bit difficult to get there. If you go, lease a 4x4 for sure. We only wanted a day trip on camels, so we arrived by car. There are many camps that you can visit on a multi-day trip on camels deeper in the desert, however, if you only want a day trip on camels and have car, this is a must-visit. Personnel superb, food superb Bathroom facilities better than most hotels, in the tent (available outside of tent as well - they have public bathrooms) They booked a day trip on camels. We wanted to try this limited version before going on a multiple day trip on camels. I suggest telling them that you don't want to spend 4h on the lunch break. It's too long. 2h of break is enough. You go about 2h on camels' backs and then back after lunch. This camp was top 2 experiences we had in morocco. If you want larger and more iconic sand dunes, visit Merzouga. The dunes here are small, yet beautiful"

"Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Delicious dinner."
