Guest reviews for Riad Lyla

"Our host, Ayub, was very welcoming, genuine, and helpful. Accommodations were great, and the courtyard in the riad was lovely. The views from the rooftop were excellent, and the place was quiet and in a very good location."

"All was good, but since the house is old, the piping makes a creaking noise after flushing or taking a shower. We learned not to flush at night so as not to wake each other or neighbors."

"Location. room, people, interior design, terraces. The Aiube, hope I write his name right, (the host) was excellent and gave us all help and explanations that we needed."

"Aucun."

"It was beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Breakfast was lovely. The location of the Riad was perfect. Pretty close to a main road where you can get a taxi but also in the Medina and close to the main square."

"Like one of the other guests, we booked transportation back to the airport that never arrived and no one picked up the phone at the Riad. I recommend just getting a cab (it’s cheaper too)."

"This Riad was very nice and comfortable. It was in a good location. It did have a strong smell in the common areas that was not so good but other than that it was quite nice!"

"The riad is well situated in the Medina. The best part is the people. I was travelling solo and both Ayoub and Salah made sure I felt comfortable during my first two nights in Marrakech. My flight was delayed but transport was arranged, bag porter through the Medina to the riad was ready, and Salah had a delicious tagine ready for me, perfect after a long journey. Ayoub also helped me make the right travel arrangements for my long journey to the valley of the roses. l've never experienced the kindness I experienced in Morocco."

Guest reviews

"This stay in the Ziz valley felt extremely authentic and was a perfect way to end our time in this area of Morocco. Great location to stay for flights in and out of Errichidia. Hami and his family were excellent hosts and we loved our time talking, having tea, and enjoying the best tangine we had in Morocco!"

"I needed a place to stay on my way through and this fit the bill. Happy to have stayed there. The staff was especially helpful."

"Quiet location, garbage to store the bicycles. Shared bathroom was clean and close to the room, which had its own sink. Good hot shower. Friendly owners."

"We had a lovely stay with my wife and our two kids. The place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing as a family. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious – fresh, generous, and the best way to start the day with that amazing view and the old village. Highly recommended!"

"I had a wonderful experience in the desert. I stayed in a bivouac room, which was beautiful and comfortable in the middle of nature. Everything was clean, well organized, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Mr. Mubarak and his team were amazing—very kind, welcoming, and hospitable. They really made sure we had a great stay."

"Very generous Breakfast, location is great, quiet and tucked away yet easy walking to the main street. Very friendly and accommodating staff"

"We really enjoyed our stay at “Kasbah du Bout”. The host was very friendly and made sure our needs were met. The Kasbah was very clean and well kept. We experienced a relaxing atmosphere and stay. We recommend staying here when visiting Zagora. Fred K. United States."

"Amazing camp accessible by car. We only had front-wheel drive Dacia, so it was a bit difficult to get there. If you go, lease a 4x4 for sure. We only wanted a day trip on camels, so we arrived by car. There are many camps that you can visit on a multi-day trip on camels deeper in the desert, however, if you only want a day trip on camels and have car, this is a must-visit. Personnel superb, food superb Bathroom facilities better than most hotels, in the tent (available outside of tent as well - they have public bathrooms) They booked a day trip on camels. We wanted to try this limited version before going on a multiple day trip on camels. I suggest telling them that you don't want to spend 4h on the lunch break. It's too long. 2h of break is enough. You go about 2h on camels' backs and then back after lunch. This camp was top 2 experiences we had in morocco. If you want larger and more iconic sand dunes, visit Merzouga. The dunes here are small, yet beautiful"

"Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Delicious dinner."
