Guest reviews for Riad Malika

"Beautiful - friendly staff , comfortable common spaces to hideaway with a book or chill. Great location and breakfast"

"The Riad diner wasn’t not up to our hopes . Our bed was a bit large for the room so difficult to navigate around. Room 9. Their phone number is different from the one listed so when we arrived and looked for parking there was a bit of frustration . All in all : I would prob stay here again !"

"The breakfast was very robust, although not my style. Alot of carbs and zero protein. That is a personal preferance and is not a knock against the Riad or staff. The staff were very helpful and nice across the duration of the stay."

"i was there in winter, the room was pretty cold at night, the bathroom was nice but the way the tub and shower were setup made it almost impossible to not wet the floor."

"The location is peaceful and beautiful, perfect for relaxing. The staff are warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere feels very pleasant. The interior design is tasteful, and the pool area is especially enjoyable — clean, calm, and well-maintained."

"Some of the furniture and interior details are a bit worn and could use refreshing. It’s clear the hotel used to feel newer, and updating a few elements would bring it back to its full potential."

"All of the staff were so welcoming after a very long journey. I highly recommend this hotel. I was a female traveling solo. They carried two suitcases up several flights of winding stairs, and treated with me as a special guest and with great respect. There was a relaxing pool, comfortable robes and towels. Breakfast was delicious and substantial. I had dinner alone one evening and they made a special meal for me. The room was spacious, bright, very clean, and I had total privacy. Love this place!"

"I can’t think of anything negative"

"We loved our stay at Raid Malika. The staff were very attentive, kind and so helpful. First night we were little lost when we found out the small souks close at 9pm and Rachid immediately said, he’s happy to show us around. Our room was very spacious, big enough for the three of us. It’s in the middle of the Medina but very quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay and definitely be back soon."

"Domain / Riad Malika is definitely in the top one hundred of the world's most legendary and eccentric hotels with the ghosts of the French Protectorate and Parisian Modernist artists not far away. This old Marrakech hotel dramatically encompasses a legendary set of gardens, green terraces, expansive city views, a swimming pool, and a eclectic collection of mid-twentieth century Moroccan and European Modernist art. Compared to the rooms in the most recent Riads in the neighbourhood, the rooms at Domain Malika are massive. In the city's centre for cultural tourism near Dal el Bacha, Medersa Ben Youssef and the Jardin Secret, one can go from tranquillity to Third World chaos in less than a minute. The staff are kind, caring, and very competent -- providing important advice. The food is very good and is served in one of the gardens or by a fire place."

"While this tranquil hotel has been in the quarter for many decades, it is now surrounded by a blur of touristic gentrification, shops and spas. While staying at the Domain Malika, I mainly stayed in the hotel's gardens and avoided the touristic chaos."

"This is hotel was truly a dream! I've never before stayed in a hotel that I didn't want to leave, but I felt that way about this gorgeous guesthouse. The eclectic moroccan-meets-vintage look was just stunning and so creative. The courtyard was so alive, beautiful and relaxing (keep an eye out for the tortoises!), and the private pool lined with artwork, blooming trees and a 1960s lounge area made me feel like Alice in Wonderland. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated with stained glass windows, soaring ceilings, and a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff/concierge were very kind and accomodating, and breakfast was great. Lastly - but certainly not least - we found the location to be ideal, as it is easily walkable from the medina and all the sights, but nestled down a quiet street in a not-quite-so-touristy neighborhood (also a nice area to mosey around if you are not quite feeling like the hustle-and-bustle of the medina). I would stay here a thousand times!!"

"This stay in the Ziz valley felt extremely authentic and was a perfect way to end our time in this area of Morocco. Great location to stay for flights in and out of Errichidia. Hami and his family were excellent hosts and we loved our time talking, having tea, and enjoying the best tangine we had in Morocco!"

"I needed a place to stay on my way through and this fit the bill. Happy to have stayed there. The staff was especially helpful."

"Quiet location, garbage to store the bicycles. Shared bathroom was clean and close to the room, which had its own sink. Good hot shower. Friendly owners."

"We had a lovely stay with my wife and our two kids. The place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing as a family. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious – fresh, generous, and the best way to start the day with that amazing view and the old village. Highly recommended!"

"I had a wonderful experience in the desert. I stayed in a bivouac room, which was beautiful and comfortable in the middle of nature. Everything was clean, well organized, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Mr. Mubarak and his team were amazing—very kind, welcoming, and hospitable. They really made sure we had a great stay."

"Everything was clean and thoughtful and beautifully decorated, and our host Samir was very knowledgeable, generous, and kind."

"We really enjoyed our stay at “Kasbah du Bout”. The host was very friendly and made sure our needs were met. The Kasbah was very clean and well kept. We experienced a relaxing atmosphere and stay. We recommend staying here when visiting Zagora. Fred K. United States."

"Good accommodation for an overnight close to Zagora. Quiet and relaxing under palm trees. I slept comfortably. The room is ok, there is even a minifridge in the room. Good breakfast. The car access is through a narrow street, but the host helped me to bring my car."
