"Probably, not the best choice for stay longer than 2 nights (too difficult to drive up and down the hill). Mildew smell in the shower."
"A perfect stay in the middle of the tropical forest with a spacious, immaculate room and an amazing breakfast with multiple options every day. The staff was very welcoming, and it felt extremely safe and peaceful. We were provided with beach towels, anti-mosquito products and water refills (extremely convenient as there are no grocery stores nearby). Dinner at the restaurant was fabulous (we got the catch of the day that was prepared perfectly). The shared pool was clean and never too busy, with plenty of space on the lounge chairs. We hope to visit again."

"The location was lovely although not easy to find at first. Chamarel Mountain chalets are set off the beaten track and you have to navigate a narrow unmade road to get to it. Once there we found ourselves in a peaceful, beautifully landscaped, tropical paradise. The infinity pool was a real highlight and the views from the pool area, the restaurant and the chalets were fabulous."
"A tropical paradise comes with tropical wildlife, be prepared for mosquitoes. The chalets are spread out on a hillside and there is quite a bit of walking from where you leave your car to the chalets and from the chalets to the restaurant/pool area. That wasn't too much of a problem for us but might be for older or less mobile people."
"Absolutely beautiful piece of property with a magnificent swimming pool. The restaurant and service was most enjoyable. The owner is a remarkable man with an extremely interesting history. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. Everyone of the staff members were so very helpful and hospitable. I can’t recommend it highly enough."

"What a find! We had a wonderful stay at the chalets and felt very well taken care of. The grounds could not be more beautiful -- we loved to luxuriate in the pool with a fresh cocktail at the end of each day. While the restaurant was excellent, the chalets are also only a couple of minutes from several good restaurants in town as well. You can drive to the lovely public beaches at Le Morne within 15 minutes and there's loads of good hiking nearby in Chamarel. We cannot recommend it enough!"

"Existing location - breathtaking nature, pleasant staff - they are really sensitive, two cute white dogs :) Very comfortable bed, clean room, big bathroom, cool balcony."
"A lot of ants on the balcony, hard to get by motorcycle - bad country road, not friendly dogs on this road :( The price was quite high, but perhaps it's OK in Mauritius."
