"Breakfast - The table was set up for us every morning with a variety of local bread, pastry, cheese/meat, yogurt/fruit/granola and juice. The staff was very attentive serving tea/coffee made to order. Room - spacious, airy with large windows, sitting area and the most comfortable bed I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. The common areas in the gardens are wonderful places to enjoy a glass of wine and relax."

"I had a little bit of trouble finding a comfortable place to work on my computer — the easy chairs slumped, but the table was too small and those seats were too hard. It’s a minor complaint, anyway."

"Every day we had a beautiful breakfast set up for us in the main gathering room - delicious cheese, breads, pastries, soft boiled egg, fresh juices and coffee/tea. The room was large and the bed was without question like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom had a very nice shower - large towels. The history and architecture add to it's charm. The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. We will stay here every time we visit."

"sink was outside bathroom. Not the biggest deal but a little weird. No real place to put luggage for easy access except on the floor. Did not/coild not figure out how to find recception. Instructions would be helpful :)"

"We have stayed here before and have never been disappointed. This is a wonderful place and it makes an excellent home base for touring around Friesland. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are spacious and cozy. Really feels like a home away from home. The back terrace is lovely to sit out on and possibly visit with the two burros that live on the premises. The staff is extremely hospitable, and they make you feel welcome."

"We loved the property - the rooms are wonderful with the separate lounge. Convenient to everything and for exploring on foot. Parking at the premises which was great. Coffee/tea and honor snack bar is great. The most wonderfully comfortable beds!"

"The bathroom could use some hooks for hanging and a counter/table surface to place your toiletries on. The bathroom is huge so there is plenty of room."

"The location is fantastic, in the centre of Bolsward. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. Although it was freezing outside, inside it was very pleasant. There were free coffee and tea facilities, and there was a fridge."
