Guest reviews for Son Spa
"Spectacular setting, in the charming port town of Son. The spa facilities, including the sauna, were first-rate. The dinner we had outside was the best we had during a two-week trip to Norway. Staff were friendly and always helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer."
"I can’t think of a negative thing to say."
"I did not like that I have to pay for parking the car. In addition the app for payment did not work for me. You should have informed about the parking exp."

"The spa, complete with hot tubs, pools, saunas, and spa services were all outstanding! The restaurant was totally over the top with fantastic appetizers, entrées, drinks, and more."
"Due to its remote location, there aren’t a lot of other options in the area for meals. As a result, you may find yourself eating at the Son Spa restaurant every night. The rooms did not seem to be air-conditioned, which I’m sure isn’t a big deal for a lot of the year, but we were there in July. It was hard to sleep without sweating."
"This is a truly wonderful place with an excellent location, welcoming staff, and breathtaking nature."

"Excellent and stunning location. Wonderful views of Oslo fjord. Easy access to Oslo via local train station for sightseeing. Very easy to get around the area to explore. Excellent breakfast."
"Staff sometimes unhelpful and seemed short staffed in evenings. Confusion over room cleaning. Returned twice to room and the room had not been cleaned and they don’t make bed at all."
"Perched on the edge of nowhere, with a view that makes you want to punch the air just to make sure it’s real. The floating sauna? That’s where you sweat out the bullshit. The outdoor jacuzzi? A hot embrace under the indifferent sky, reminding you life’s still got a few good tricks up its sleeve. The bed? Soft as a broken heart but damn if it doesn’t hold you just right. You sink into it, and it swallows you whole, like it knows you’ve been running on empty. And breakfast? It’s a wild buffet of choices—enough to make you question whether the world’s really gone to hell. A little bit of everything, and somehow, it all works."
"But let’s not kid ourselves—it wasn’t all roses and sunshine. The room? Stuck with a view of a road and other guests' lives, like we were all extras in a poorly scripted scene. Breakfast had its misses too—some of it tasted like it was just passing time on your plate, and don’t even get me started on the pancakes—no maple syrup, just a cruel joke in disguise. And if you’re an English speaker, you’re in for a game of charades. Signs, menus, the whole sauna spiel—Norwegian through and through. But then again, steam doesn’t need a damn dictionary. Coffee? Barely did its job, and no barista oat milk in sight—just a carton of disappointment. The shower? It dribbled out water like it was afraid to be noticed. And the toilet seat? Plain, plastic, and as inviting as a back-alley handshake."
"Could not rate this hotel and spa highly enough, value for money? More than! Everything from check in to (free late) check out was outstanding and the staff were exceptional with me and my family. Our room was upgraded for free and the breakfast was excellent. Special mention to Elizabeth for the outdoor sauna ritual and fjord swimming in the afternoon, a truly unforgettable experience."
"Nothing at all :)"
"Hyggelig personell som ga strålende service. Frokosten var utsøkt og trenings rommet var kjempe bra til å være på hotell."
"Det var dobbelt dyne og ikke mulighet for å bytte til enkle dyner."
"Bra! Men spa er lite og mye folk. Folk sitter lenge i boblebad og varmebad. Burde vært tider hvor lenge man får sitte sånn at alle får brukt det."
